A bit low, but it is just £90 and brand new. I guess the type of person who would use this just wants an alright smartphone with a big display and without having to charge it regularly.

great thanks op orderd
If I was buying an entry -level phone I'd rather go for Redmi 7a with octa-core Snapdragon 439. Better Processor makes a big difference in this price bracket. Battery life is slightly worse but not by much. It's also dual SIM, which may be important to some people.

Good price. Bought a refurb Moto G6 Play refurb from Argos cost me £62.99 for 3gb / 32gb. Only prob i had was the earphone socket not working, but i didn't come with any Moto ones. Not going to return it, as i thought a good price.
Have the normal e5, great basic phone if you don't have loads of apps or need loads of storage.

Mine the power button just broke, got it from Argos years ago. Still use it for streaming podcasts and they seem to update security on these ones, not the e4 series.
TFT display??
My wife bought this a while back just to use for very basic day to day stuff, thinking it would be cheap but cheerful. Absolutely unusable. Never had a phone run so slow! We kept it as an emergency but I ended up binning it after using it once. Got an old £10 Nokia as a backup instead.
People bang on about the lastest phones and then just browse and facebook. Great use of your latest greatest processor and RAM.

Pretty sure if you made most high-end phone users have this instead, it wouldn't really impact how they use a phone. Pefectly useful phone for the money. May actually get it to replace my LG G5 whose GPS has just died.
Have the G4 Play, runs terribly slow, stutters, lags, freezes & if editing a message, starts deleting text & overwriting instead of adding as you type. Truly awful. That was 16GB/1GB so hope this is better for those buying

You're definitely talking about this phone, the E5 Plus with 2 GB ram and not the cheaper E5 Play with 1 GB ram?

Either way, why bin it? If you were unable to return it you could have sold it, if only to somewhere like CEX.

Moto do good budget phones. I have the G6 Play, and honestly, there's nothing I can't run on it.

Yes, it's a little slow when you start to get close to filling the hd space, but it cost me £68 last black Friday, so absolutely no complaints.

This looks a decent deal for a budget handset.

Definitely 2GB. May have only had 8GB storage if I remember rightly, about 6 of which was preloaded which didn't help. My wife put up with it for quite a long time before we bought her a new one, then it sat in a drawer for ages before i tried it as a stand in. Wouldn't have got enough money for it at that point to warrant me doing anything with it, other than recycle it.

Just to add I'm not anti-Moto! I've had the G series since 4 and currently on g7 power! Just really hated this model. May even have been handset specific

If it was 8GB storage, it definitely wasn't this phone. This phone was only released last year, hence why I asked about warranty. It looks like your comments are referring to an older model Moto E phone.

Yeah you might be right, could have been one from the previous line, though she only got it last year. If the E4 had an 8gb version it could have been that.

£90 isn't cheap for a budget phone. more like £50 for a spec like that would make sense!

It’s totally arbitrary... but in a world of £1000 smartphones, I think you’ll find most people will call sub-£100, budget territory.

that is actually so true these days. I think upto £200 is considered budget now!
I have a OnePlus 3T but I just cracked the screen. Replacement is £80. Phone in perfect working order.

Should I replace it with the Moto E5 Plus or just replace the screen?

Replace the screen if it's done by a reputable repairer.
