This is an android one handset, and apart from Google, probably one of the easiest to get used to, having said that, I'd get him the mi a2 from laptops direct for £149, or even the A3.

No, my trusty Z2 Force keeps me on my toes, still strong, but this one has the looks, it did have one or two weaknesses if I recall correctly when it came out, that made it fall short of greatness, but at this price it's a no-brainer I suppose

Avoid the G7 power at all costs.
Check all the hundreds of posts on here and the support forums re issues with signal and wifi.
Design fault that couldnt be resolved.

Got one for a relative , no issues at all

But I do recall there was some ppl saying there’s a problem and others saying it works fine.

Heat - an excellent underrated phone manufacturer Motorola / Lenovo...... ( underrated in this country due to the iPhone and Galaxy mug buyers )
Have this phone, very happy with it, pretty decent all round, very clean version of Android. Pretty sure the camera is 13+2 not 15 IIRC.
I would stay the hell away from Motorola phones tbh...signal problems, wifi and bluetooth issues....and God help you if you have problems...the Customer Service/Support is next to non-existent and a total sham!
The old Motorola's were good but lately i think they have just lost the plot and turn out substandard products just to flood the market
Yeah true. I have Moto g6, brill phone, but problem with WiFi. Wouldn't by Motorola again

I've owned nothing but Motorola's since I first got a smartphone. Never had an issue

Does this have an inbuilt or user removal battery.
I do like this size of phone (about 6", 19:9 format). Can't handle anything bigger (ooerrr missus....).

Android One is a big bonus too.

Anyone know if the camera better then on the Honor 10 lite? I know the Moto screen is slightly smaller and lower res, but other specs seem slightly better (including Android One).

Which ONE model is this one? Ugh horrible sentence.

Is this the old ONE with Snapdragon 625 and 13MP + 2MP cameras and came with Android Oreo? I don't think this has a Snapdragon 636, I think it's the Snapdragon 625 because it doesn't have 15MP well I guess it does if you add up two cameras, but the we're getting like those people who add up all the MHz of each CPU core and come up with 100GHz CPU! wow!!! STOP it you nutters it doesn't work like that.

Laptops direct still want £249 for the spec above, mental!

There's a lot of ONE models, the specs are confusing on the ebay listing. This appears to be old stock of the ONE with Snapdragon 625, but I'm happy to be wrong and this be a bargain.

No, I think you're right, this is the 625 model, I edited my description.
Heated. Excellent handset. Recommended it for my Mum over a year ago as I wanted something reliable and with a clean Android experience that I wouldn't end up needing to remotely support too often

Android One, NFC, USB C, rear fingerprint reader, 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. A lot of reviews see it as fairly bland, but when you combine all of its attributes it's a great mid-range, especially for this price. Screen is the 'weakest' point I'd say, but not bad by any means. Motorola seem pretty swift with their monthly patches (as part of Android One). I assume it won't be too long before it gets Android 10.

I had both of these, I smashed the screen on honor 10 lite and got this.

IMO honor 10 lite is nicer phone to hold and look at and the screen is more vivid.

Cameras are about equal in daylight, but my honor 10 lite was terrible in poor light. The Moto one is much better in poor light, but still not amazing.

In stats they are about equal, but I find the Moto one runs a bit smoother, glitches less and everything just works as it should all the time.

Charge lasts much longer in Moto one, possibly due to screen and Motorola turbo charge is great.

This is hard to quantify,, but the Motorola seems to fall off things less. The honor was always falling off chair arms etc. Onto the floor. Thus the broken screen.

Not sure why I went into a full comparison when all you asked was about the screen lol
