Great price. I have been using one for a couple of weeks. The screen is great quality despite only being 720p (compared to the 1080p screen on the Moto G5 it's brighter, more colourful and has better viewing angles). Build quality is great too.

The cameras could be better, but they are certainly passable for £130.

Just be aware that the latest software update (7.1.2, October Security) has introduced a memory management bug which starts to kill all background tasks and apps as soon as they are off screen. Making multi-tasking impossible. Hopefully they will fix the bug in the November Security release, or with Oreo.

thanks mate for your advice 🏽 🏽 🏽

Thanks OP, bought one to collect in 5 mins. My dad will appreciate the bigger screen, his eye sight isn't what it used to be.

I made sure to go through Quidco and activate the £2.5 bonus and also the 5% cashback, then used corporate perks to buy vouchers with 7.5% off. For £111.58 It's a bargain and a great Christmas present, and I don't have to wait a month for delivery from China.

Seen mixed reviews for this, surely the ZTE Blade from Vodafone for £65 is comparable at half the price?

Definitely, it's not as good as the Nokia 5 (worse build, cameras, processor, software support, no fingerprint sensor), but a great phone for £65.

Bear in mind that the Nokia 5 reviews were based on its original RRP, which was far too high.

Unfortunately the November update has not fixed the memory management bug. Make sure you don't allow the phone to update passed the September update, and keep the phone on 7.1.1.

My Moto G4 is on it's way out, does anyone think this would be a like for like replacement or would this be a downgrade, thanks?

There isn't much difference to be honest.

The Nokia 5 has better sound quality, build quality, and a fingerprint sensor, as well as a full assortment of sensors (G4 doesn't have a compass).

However, the G4 has a higher resolution screen, and technically a better processor (although real world performance is better on the Nokia 5 due to the lower res).

Thanks for the advice, went and ordered a Samsung j5 2017, Moto g4 first phone I've had any issues with so soon (15 months).

Don't think I would go for a Lenovo phone again.
