Cheers, it'll be Oos in five minutes, otherwise it would have had a bit more pizzaz
Got this for the Mrs and was very impressed with it. Nokia almost there to tempt me to shift from Samsung...
I feel Xiaomis eg. poco F1 is a better buy at this price eange.
Have one of these, it's a very good phone.
I have a Nokia 8, I store I was comparing this camera to the 8, 7.1 is better with the stock app, but it pained me to buy a phone this is less powerful for more, in hindsight I wish I bought this one over the 8, physically the 8 is prettier though
Anybody know what Argos refurbished phones are like - are they just customers who've returned them under a 14 day cooling off period?

The only phone I've ever got off them was a moto g6, it came in the original box, like new handset, with the charger cable only, I was still. Pleased

I have bought a refurbished Lenovo Tab4 8 inch few months ago from Argos.
To be honest I am not complaining and I saved £55 from RRP. Tablet was as new original manual was missing no accessories and came with original charger and the box was tatty also came with 12 months Argos warranty

From experience I would buy refurbished products from Argos

24mp? rear cameras are 12 and 13 mp
Solid reliable workhorse, with a excellent battery life. Does make me snigger next to the iPhone 2% battery crew, with their cracked screens

Show me the poco f1 for this price please.
Got this last time it was this very price - very happy.

It depends on your view. The Nokia is a premium feel, well built, gorgeous piece of a handset with lovely accents of copper. Whereas the Poco has the upgraded SOC but with a poor screen and build quality. If you wanted to show off your phone then the Nokia is the one to have or even if you need NFC for instance, but if the latest specs are the deciding factor........

You pays your money and you makes your choice!
Really nice phone, currently got the 7.1 but I think the 7 Plus was a better phone - the battery in it is so much better - and just that little bit snappier
MrSwitch12/11/2018 18:12

Agreed.

Depends what you want to do. If you want to play games yes. If you want a fairly decent camera, definitely this.
Are Argos refurbished basically customer returns? Thinking of selling my Mi A1 and getting this.

I'm still learning about the latest smartphone tech (late bloomer!), so I do appreciate the extra info. I know there are plenty of sites with the specs, but it's cool to have the info here too.

Fantastic. Can’t decide between this and the Huawei P20 Lite. What would you recommend?

Also, is your main android phone an android one device? I tested the Nokia 7 plus and Moto g6 in JL and obviously already have a Xiaomi Mi A1 and all of them scroll quite slowly, especially on chrome. I ask you as I’m guessing you’ve had a lot of different android phones and wondering if you’ve noticed a difference? The P20 Lite just felt a little more slick.

The 7bplus never seems to lag for my partner, they have the white version, and is pretty happy with it.

I've never actually used the P20 lite, or even seen it for that matter, but I'd imagine it'd be fine with the Kirin 659

Why not go Honor play or something, that has last years flagship soc, the same that's in my Huawei mate 10 pro

Yeah I forgot to mention the Honor Play, which looks pretty much perfect. Though, I just made the mistake of trying the OnePlus 6 in O2 and what a mistake, that phone is incredible. I’ve used the pixel etc but no phone has had me so close to ditching the iPhone as that one has. It’s just so rapid...

As you posted, at £399 on Amazon it looks to be a no brainer. The OnePlus 6T looks great but I’m not sure it’s £100 better. In fact I’m a little confused as to how that deal is not blazing hot.

Have no idea, some go hot, some go cold, can't predict it on here sometimes.

I'm tempted by the silk white from amazon for £449, but csnt justify buying another phone.

Though the 6GB versjon at £399 is probably the phone I'd most recommend at that price currently.

Or the Huawei Mate 10 pro from amazon £360

Oh please don't throw another phone into the mix That was the thing with apple. I had to pick between a standard or a 'max/plus', nothing else. With Android there's so much choice I just end up with decision fatigue or a surplus of phones!

While I was asking myself if the 6t is worth £100 more I then started asking myself whether the OnePlus was worth £187 more than the Nokia...

Anyways thanks for the tips and deals Mrswitch. I shall sit here and deliberate for another few hours/days/weeks

Not that you really needed to know but I decided on ordering both a OnePlus 6 and a Grade B Pixel 2 XL from either App. Direct or smartfonestore for £299. Will try both and send one of them back. Do you prefer Appliances Direct or Smartfonestore?

Just noticed all three of these temptations were as a result of your actions ya bas***d! Congrats on becoming a Pepper Expert thingymabob by the way

Probably Smartfonestore as they have better customer service imo.

Haha, sorry about that bud, but I am genuinely interested what people buy, and if it's on my advice, even better haha.

My mate will only buy UK. Thinking of a phone in the 2 ton area. Is the Nokia 7 plus ois is that why it's a better buy over a newer but bog standard 7.1 Nokia. I'm currently rocking a RN4 with a lumia 950 for ois but it's a pain to use for other stuff now. Is there a good ois phone under 200 in low light I need it for my singer photos in a club
