I am looking for Samsung Galaxy S4 or S5 for a while and lastnight I found this deal in Argos Outlet on eBay.

It is Refurbished mobile with a 12 Month Argos Warranty and Sim Free.

It looks a great deal, but if anybody knows the deal for Galaxy S4 or S5 which will be better price please let me know. Thank you

Good deal, but you can get a newer model, again refurbished from O2. the Samsung galaxy s5 is on sale online for 269.99. it's a newer model does a little more. and will be supported a lot longer. Available here: o2.co.uk/sho…rb/

S5 refurb is available for £240, check 10GB plan.

Oh by O2 refresh, that wasn't mentioned before. I can see it for £269.99 now. I guess the handset will come locked to O2 though? Not sim free like with the S4 deal. Plus O2 refresh involves some faffing around and only those with good credit history will be able to take out the contract and get the phone for this price?

Got a s4 for work and honestly do not see the point of anything more powerful (I don't game)

Now OTA updated to official lolipop and works a treat

Seems a lot of hassle if I'm honest.

I did chatting with o2 advisor few days ago. The mobile will come with 3 month warranty by Samsung so I thought It was not good enough to pay that much and have just 3 month warranty.

Can I ask what network your handset is from? I've got a SIM free one (though supplied by Orange) but I still haven't got the lollipop update.

Also agreed that unless you want something super powerful, the Galaxy S4 is still more than capable.

I love my Galaxy s4,couple it with a zerolemon battery and you're laughing. Standard battery isn't the best. I've had mine 2 years now, slap a 64gb card in it and a zero lemon battery and it's a go!!

They look massive, I'd prefer to just carry a spare battery.

Same here. Fantastic phone with the zerolemon battery. Makes it a little bit bigger but that's a small inconvenience rewarded by a great battery life.

Great find...mate heat added

Is this a deal? I got my S4 Grade A (i.e. looked new) from Smartphone Store a year ago for £199. BTW I checked the warranty (from the serial) with Samsung and it had 11 months left to run.

,,,hm I'm still waiting for an official release Asus Zenfone 2,,,I don't know if I have this patience:-( I have been waiting for this phone about 4 months now and still any rumours;-( ,,, Anyway good deal!!!

deal does not involve any faffing around. It is all in terms and conditions, you receive the phone and you cancel the airtime contract and pay off for the mobile phone cost, as simple as that and ask them for the unlock code. I have done this in the past without any problem, it is a standard request which O2 are obliged to entertain as per their terms.

Thank you. Have you order SS S5 in that deal? is the handset good?

yes, I have just received it today and it is like a brand new phone. I am on hold with O2 at the moment and would cancel it tonight if I get through to them before 9 pm. One thing, I would like to double check with them is the warranty though as someone has pointed out that it may come with 3 months warranty, will update shortly.

I have just cancelled the airtime plan and all I had to pay was £240. Also due to receive the unlock shortly too.

As for warranty, a refurbished phone comes with 24 months Samsung warranty but with only 3 months warranty for battery. I requested the customer service rep to send me the information in email and this is what I got.
"Further to our conversation this evening here are the details.
Samsung Handsets are covered by a 24M warranty, however on a refurbished handset the battery is covered by 3 months.
My email address is xxx @o2.com"

Hope that helps.

That's cool, zero lemon do 3000mah batteries too. You get 2 and a charger for £15 on Amazon. They're the same size as standard battery but bigger capacity. Mine is 7500mah but I don't mind the fatter heavier phone for almost 3 days use

Vodafone

Warning about lolipop. Sound profiles are a bit.. They just kept the lollipop priority stuff do no more pressing power button to change to normal / vibrate / silent. Except that it all works like kitkat for me

Your post isn't really that clear, however I think you're complaining about the sound profiles on Lollipop. This was fixed on version 5.1 of Lollipop, so as long as that version is available then it's fine. Although I didn't have a problem with it, it still works, just differently.

Not a better price but what about this S4 on Amazon for £199 new?. Albeit, FBA on Prime and could be a EU model after reading the comments but still carries the same warranty. Also, the assurance of AZ returns if you are not happy might be another factor.

Thank you very much. I am the one that point out about warranty have just 3 months as the O2 advisor told, but your information is very clear and much better than O2 advisor told me. I think I will follow you to s5 deal ;-))

Just realized it did not make much sense (was late for me) but basically yes. Just different but I preffered the old way (2 clicks) now takes a lot longer.

No 5.1 available for the s4 yet

This item is out of stock.

Anyone know how to get the alarm time to display on the lock screen with lollipop?

Just in case the other replies haven't helped. I thought I'd give my 2 pence... If you have a little patience, and wait for the page to load you'll notice it is available.

Are these managers special?..anyone got theres yet?...what's it like in condition etc?

Mine came after 4 days, supposed to be parcelforce 24 -box looked like it had returned from a tour of Iraq but phone was great 9.5/10 (very slight scuffs on back) BUT would not read any sim card put in it -tried 5 same result even after factory reset etc. Came on kitkat so software updated to Lollipop through phone and just the same.
