Been looking for cheap phones all day and although this is a little old now, it's still a pretty good price for what is still a pretty good phone!

Why on earth would you get a very old, underpowered phone for more than you'd pay for the vastly superior Moto G for example?

It's still a nice phone
Can't compare This to moto g as in my opinion it was a flagship phone on the other hand moto g isn't

Same reason why someone would buy one these ridiculously very expensive cars that is uneconomical, expensive in road tax and breaks down regulary. In oppose to a moderate car.

Its the badge my good man. Think the mototola as the Skoda. Its got it's stigma but slowly changing peoples opinion.

The keyword here is WAS a flagship phone.

Nonsense. Of course you can compare them; they're both mobile phones! You can compare their specs, price, performance etc objectively. The Moto G is vastly superior for less money.

Nothing wrong with the S3. I had one till yesterday (got S5 now). I would choose Samsung over any phone any day of the week!

That's a very good price for it!

Moto g.. who.. never heard of it! enough said!!!!!

Can't even take this reply seriously.

found an interesting stat the other day this 'phone has sold something like 50million units, i compared it to others and was "shocked" to find the apple i5 had sold 90 million units.
gulp... wow that's a lot of bread, no wonder apple have stashed $70 billion

I'd rather buy second hand but I wouldn't buy below S4 although hubby has this phone and it works great no issues but no more updates either.
I bought the note 2 off ebay for less with warranty mind you it is second hand.

Not available any where near sheffield

That's your opinion
No need to be rude though
As I already said its opinion

Bit old now. Nice enough phone, though with no Kitkat or Lollipop coming - ever - I'm not sure why you'd get this over a Moto G LTE other than the camera - which admittedly is much better than the Moto G. In every other respect the Moto G is far superior though.

What was rude about what I said? The use of the word 'nonsense'? Gosh you're sensitive! The internet must be a harrowing place for you.

People are entitled to waste their money as they wish. It just baffles me that anyone would want a S3 over any number of better phones in this price bracket.

I have the s3 and my mrs had a moto g. there's not much in it to be fair. performance wise my s3 keeps up due to custom rom which I understand isn't for everybody. both screens are good. moto g has probably double the battery life but it's also a fatty. if the 2nd gen moto g lte had been released then it'd be a clear cut upgrade but until then I'll just keep waiting for a deal comparable to the 150quid LG G2 black friday vodafone deal

Looks like I made the right choice for my wife for christmas then. I had been looking at the S3 when it was on offer at CPW in October for £129.99 but decided not to buy. Waited and bought the Moto G 2nd Gen week before Christmas and she loves it. Her old phone was an S2 but she much prefers the Moto G. Only thing she said she misses is the lock screen button on the front as it's on the side on the Moto G. Genuine case should fix that issue as it will bring the phone on when the case is opened.

Just got a refurbished S3. Had one before and cannot fault it as it does everything i need. Wife's got a Galaxy S2 and my sons both have 4g Galaxy Aces. Eldest boy at Manchester 2nd year University student has no desire to swap his although he could do so.

I would recommend Samsung to anyone purely on price, reliability and the superb 2yr back to Samsung warranty on all it's phones.
