Haven't seen it cheaper, hot from me.
Is this the LTE version or the older one?

There is an old version and a new one ??
Most probably the 3G one.
It's actually the same price on the website.
The dark blue one is also £285. Looks better imho - no point pretending to be an Apple fanboy!

Better for what?
As a phone or an Android device. Nexus gets more updates.
currently got an s2 and thinking of upgrading.

Is there 5% Quidco on this or not? This is a VAT inclusive price right? So £237.50 ex VAT if I buy thru my business right?
These are unlocked.

199 quids on ASDA Direct and Amazon right … 199 quids on ASDA Direct and Amazon right now.http://direct.asda.com/Samsung-Galaxy-SIII-Mini---Blue/008736057,default,pd.htmlhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009PIZCI8/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=electronics

You are right, sorry. Nice price for the mini thought.
According to the specs it's the 3G version.

No mention of LTE (newer version normally called Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE)

The communication frequencies listed on asda site are in line with the original 3G version...

Still very hot though!
(another S2 user thinking about an upgrade)
Timely. On verge of purchasing from Tesco. This, with a possible 5% Quidco, makes it the cheapest thus far (cheaper than Amazon and CPW)

Yeah this is the i9300 not the i9305 LTE version. It only comes with 1gb of RAM rather than 2gb with the LTE version.

expecting under £250 soon.
It's the 16GB not the 32 GB version for those who don't want to visit the Asda website.

Do we think that makes a big difference to day to day operation, the RAM ?
I'm only voting cold as you can now pick up a Samsung ATIV S from Amazon for £220. I know its a WP8 device but is basically the Galaxy 3 with better looks and in my opinion a cracking operating system that's getting better and better.

you vote cold, because you have bought different product with different operating system. seems legith.

I don't like how quickly Android likes to close the task for Carmageddon the game when I switch from it to send a text or something. A Windows equivalent would be alt tabbing to your web browser to do something and then being unable to alt tab back and what you were in the middle of before has gone. I presume Android does this to free up RAM although I could be wrong.

same price in Amazon … same price in Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Galaxy-SIII-Smartphone-Unlocked/dp/B0080DJ6C2/ref=pd_ts_zgc_ce_356496011_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&pf_rd_p=395823507&pf_rd_s=right-5&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=468294&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0JZR389SKAFPT4R2MVTD

Still coming up as £287.95 at Amazon

Fair enough it's getting better and better, but as of this moment (and probably still the next few years) I'd say Android is the better choice.

I've used both, I owned the i9300 and the i9305 is better at running more things. People don't always close APP's in there task manager so the more RAM the better.

hmm.... closing apps in task manager in android... that is just wrong.
If that would have been needed, they would have implemented such a feature, but Android manages memory differently than Windows.
OK so do I hang on a bit longer (but how much longer) for a sub £250 price or should I go for this now?

You must do what you feel is right, of course.
Don't forget boys and girls, the Motorola X phone is imminent, and maybe a contender.

if you are VAT registered. You will pay the whole price now and later you claim back the VAT I think
I've just bought this from CPW for a few quid more - so far loving it, much better screen than my old S2 - hot, hot!
Very tempted... But my deal instincts tell me this will be around £240 soon enough. What to do

It's cheaper because noone gives a flying f- about the Windows OS.
