2300 mah battery, Mediatek processor, only 2gb ram and 720p screen.

Thanks for listing though. It's nice to see something available to buy in the UK, rather than the usual Banggood, or other long distance listings.
It's when i see phones at prices like this i wonder why morons/students etc buy apples on £70 a month contracts. To then drunkenly lose it and buy a new one for £800.

What happens if you have a fault though..Much better to buy from a UK … What happens if you have a fault though..Much better to buy from a UK based retailer warranty wise and avoid the hassle.

Yep and I believe with Sony you're almost guaranteed a fault
An alternative, the late 2016 Sony XZ flagship phone for a silly cheap price, £169-£189 (see link below). It's £3.98 to unlock from O2 using an eBay code (2-10 working days) and £7.99 to unlock from Vodafone (2-8 working days). Snapdragon 820, 3GB RAM, 1080P screen, 23Mp rear camera, 13Mp front camera. Waterproof. Check it out on gsmarena.

It's on EE good as new for a 109.99 pound but you have to spend another 10 pound for a minimum top up pack if that helps.

16gb is very poor for me. i have sony c4 and continuously having memory problems. i bought a 128gb external sd card but it doesn't act as 1 unit. so i suggest you consider the memory limitations of this phone.

Or winge about student fees, when in my day it was free, well sort of.
Really nice looking phone. Trouble with Sony phones, at least all the ones I've owned, low to high end is that they all had at least one dead pixel. So annoying. Why don't they use better panels?
available on ebay in as new condition with 12m warranty from currys for less than £100 if anyone interested
how is it compare with zuk z2

The XZ is a fantastic phone, sadly it didn't stack up as well against the other flagships but in its own right it's a great handset. Worth mentioning that Sony does 24 month warranty that is based on IMEI so every one is still under warranty, you just book it through Xperia Care should you need it, this assumes you haven't done anything to void it (like people claiming spontaneous cracking, bending or water damage).
Gone a bit old this, bought it for £79 refurb from o2 over 6 months ago

I "inspect" a lot from a 100 quid phone mate, Moto G series started the trend of a nice budget phones a couple of years ago and nowadays you can buy a Xiaomi 4x or even Note 4 for this kind of money, which are all miles ahead of the XA. And yeah, don't buy the S6 because of the bad battery life and screen burn issues. And because it's 2 years old.
oos greater manchester

I have both.
The Z2 is miles ahead in performance and build... but no band 20 nor NFC.
I got the XA for around £80. If you're going to pay £130, I would get the Z2.

If you don't play too much 3D games, and can get the XA for around £80 ... Then I would go with the XA.
I use mine as a 2nd phone, and for music/YouTube when I'm running.

Btw, I paid £180 for the Z2.

good price for a phone. £200 is max you should pay for any smartphone.

they don't have a clue. But perhaps because it works with the Macbook they use which is expensive even after the student discount.

Ah well, I guess they won't find out until they have to pay off their student loan, and if they are still going for expensive Apple stuff even then, then the joke's on them!

Yes I noticed this as the warranty info appeared when I first got the phone in the notifications so mine is still warrantied until 2018
Terrible storage for apps and terrible battery life.Better phones for the money like Huawei

Why?
It's my money and i'll spend it how I like
I bought this phone around 6 months ago, on refurb for £79. It's "ok" it does the job, and I have no issues with it, but the cmera isn't anywhere near as good as the camera I had on my old Sony Z1 which I broke (hence the XA). One thing I noticed, my step tracker apps don't work on it, as apparently no gyro on the XA (didn't know that was even needed). However Strava cycling app works no probs. I get a full day battery life from it. Just been pricing up an upgrade, fancied a Samsung Edge, but £37 per month for an edge 6 put me off - I have this on sim only for just £7.99 a month, and simply can't justify the difference in price.

So if you're not doing too much on your phone, browsing, emails, phone calls - it's perfectly fine. Not sure I'd want to pay £120 for it though, but beats £500/£600 for the flagship phones.
Why is this hot? Is it because it says Sony? The smart ultra 6 which was £89 at its height of popularity in 2015 is better than this, bar camera.
ENVIROPHONE 130£ 12 MONTHS WARRANTY - GOOD CONDITION (MINE WAS IMMACULATE)
SONY X, MUCH BETTER PHONE THEN XA, MIGHT BE REFURBISHED BUT SO IS THIS AFTER 5 MINS LOL
Lime Gold...WTF, worst colour I've seen on a phone! oO

It's actually surprisingly nice in the flesh. This phone is an obvious money-grab from Sony but it's certainly not a bad handset by any stretch. Of course there's better out there but not everyone wants a Chinese off-brand handset, or a refurb, etc. You'd be hard pressed to get a new tier-1 brand phone for this money.
