Nope, this is the ultra which is £299 at JL, although everyone knows they are never 'knowingly' undersold

JL live up to their claim by being ignorant of their competitors.

For anyone looking for contract this might be an alternative: GiffGaff do this on a 12 month contract. £100 up front and £20.98 a month = £351.72. Contract includes 3GB, 500 mins and ult texts. There is £25 cashback via quidco.

^It's not really a deal but if the deal breaker was spreading the cost with less up front on a lite-medium use contract then that might work. Voted hot on this though.
£203.99 for the 64GB version at eglobal central using code "HOLIDAY".

Used eglobal twice in the past couple of months (including to buy his very phone) and the service was A1. Arrived well inside 7 days and posted from within the UK.

+1 on that

Also, this Argos one ((g3221)) is a single sim, the eGlobal one ((g3226)) is dual sim
The camera is the primary reason I bought this phone and in the 3 weeks I've had it, it is superb.
XA2 Ultra looks really similar, but with a bigger battery:

gsmarena.com/com…985

I wish they hadn't gimped the batteries in these Non-removeable too.

Which is fine if you actually get the item and it works flawlessly. The horror stories of e-global all originate when you need any form of customer support. And I am willing to pay more to get customer support from the likes of Argos, who are usually very good.

Interesting feedback. Very few reviews of this device online. But the ones that are there talk about grainy videos and significant delays with auto focusing along with over saturation and wash out in high contrast pictures. Ok in bright light but poor otherwise.

Review

My interest in the device would be for the camera functionality as well, but it would seem like that is not up to scratch. Oh well, the search continues.

I can't understand the logic of people looking for deals being willing to get a potentially dubious product which may take weeks to arrive and if it's faulty or any faults develop, your either screwed or got to battle for a long time..all to save like £30-40. I think their the type of people that listen to the likes of Martin Lewis, use hours and hours of your time to save £19 a decade on your energy bill!

Or you use paypal to pay and if any problems happen issue a claim. Paypal sent me the entire money back and I got to keep my S7 Edge I bought from them.... (It wasn't clear it was not a eu model and I asked for a partial refund).

Great deal lol

Is this one of the sony phones that doesn't have terrible bugs and/or break in a few weeks? Bad experiences with their older android models..
10% off if you buy through their eBay page and use code PAYDAY10 or get it from amazon or John Lewis for £229.99

Decided to try one of these out in Argos today. Returned it about 20 minutes later. Took it out the box on way home and in the cold weather the camera lens kept getting condensation underneath resulting in hazy images. It was fine when I went back in store and they didn't believe me so I had to get one of the staff to come outside with me to show them and it happened again. Refunded and was very unhappy because in the flesh this is a lovely phone
