Nice phone - I got my folks the note 5 and now my wife wants one similar - wonder how this stacks up against the 5?

When is Xiaomi better than Samsung

When you're comparing value for money Xiaomi are way better.
I've had a few Samsung phones but wouldn't buy one again after using a Xiaomi phone for the last two years.
I Also own a Xiaomi rechargeable shaver and it's superb compared with my old Philishave that cost 7 times more.

the aerial aside, 16gb?

Where does it say that it's 16Gb?

It's 6Gb RAM and 128Gb ROM.

To be fair, there's inconsistencies all over the place. Some places have it as 128Gb ROM and there's also a reference to it being 64Gb ROM.

Can confirm it is 128gb, and the antenna is for the built in UHF walkie talkie radio, it will communicate with most analogue radios, from Kenwood, Motorola and binatone etc, you just type in frequency and you are away.
