Thanks i'll have a look now
good phone - great price
I would personally choose the Blade S6 just because it is a smaller phone. The Smart Ultra is too big for me to hold comfortably.
Agree, the Smart 6 Ultra is way too big and it isn't a dual sim device which is a massive bonus. Heat!
how would this compare to a galaxy s4?

Isn't Smart Ultra 6 locked to Vodaphone ?
If you buy this, be aware that some phones have one or both known problems. First, gps doesn't work/ can't fix. Two, will spontaneously reboot.
Beauty of argos deal if you have these issues is ease of replacement. Pity people who bought from abroad.

A review from Youtube.

I do wish companies would take more care on their specs :-

1280 x 720 pixels.
Full HD screen.

Can't be both!

because they can!
Avoid this brand.
Bought two Zte Blade V's. One kept dropping calls one minute in and the other one had to be shook every few mins. as the audio became muffled.

I have learnt my lesson by buying Chinese crap branded phones.
I've had one of these since June and it's a a pretty decent phone for the money. Couple of gripes:
Internal storage is woefully inadequate. The partitioning is weird and you'll be out of space for apps very quickly. Get a micro SD card and Apps2SD ASAP.
Battery life is quite poor, and does seem to deteriorate pretty quickly as well.
The camera is awful in anything but perfect light.
Is this better than the 3rd gen Moto G and the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua?

proper question, with the (slow) introduction of 4K, is 1080 still classed as "full" HD?
Before anyone even considers buying a Smart Ultra 6, ask yourself if having a decent camera is a must for your needs. If it is, stay away. I've had the SU6 for a few months now, the phone itself is brilliant for what I paid (only £99!) but the camera is utterly shocking, worst camera I've seen by far. To get a half decent picture you need to be somewhere with a lot of light, even then it's not a great picture. If you're somewhere with a lack of light, then just forget taking a decent picture.

Yes, but I got an unlock code from eBay for like £2.50.

I bought this phone in February this year and GPS works absolutely fine for me. With regards to random reboots, it has happened to me about 4 times in the 10 months I've had it.

I've had no problems with storage, but I don't use massive amount of apps, but I've got 1300 photos on there and about 200 MP3s and haven't run out yet.

Camera - Agreed it is poor in low light but the outside shots are really good.

Battery life - I've had no problems with this. Will happily run for a full day with a couple of hours of solid use throughout the day.

Yes it is but only about £2 to unlock on eBay.
Just wondering how this compares with other phones on the market, the specs look good. need a decent phone with good camera? been looking at SU6 buy its too big, also looking at elephone pro from ebay.
Is this better than Wileyfox Swift (if another lightening deal appears on Amazon...)?

Yes I am also looking at getting that or elephone pro of ebay.
I would always stay away from Chinese branded goods - nowt wrong in western brands that happen to be manufactured in China, but Chinese brands? no thanks
I owned two phones build by ZTE - Orange Monte Carlo and T-mobile Vivacity, had issues with both ..

no its not anymore, full was just used to differentiate between the lowest and maximum types of hd 720, 1080i/1080p , now the highest is 4k that's the "fullest" available
This or the Lumia 640 XL for an extra £60?

I know it's hard to compare as the XL is much bigger and costs 60% more but if budget gives, which is the better phone? Not expecting an amazing phone but would I be wasting £100 on this when I should pay a little more for a proper branded phone?

Help?

Or any other suggestions from Argos for around £150 mark?

The Sony C4 is better than the Smart Ultra 6 imho and has been of offer at various places between £100 to £120 the last 2 weeks. Keep and eye out.

Comparion between the two.

The Vodafone has alot more negative reviews across the board.

Had this phone for last 11 months, purchased from Gearbest. Was a really good phone at first but had issues with WIFI connection in certain parts of the house from around May 2015, was perfect before but for some reason losses connection , as far as I know its a known problem with this phone.

I'm pretty sure HD refers to 720, 1080 and 1440 whilst anything over that is known as UHD.

It's about time for us to use the numbers only instead of "HD" and "UHD" anyway - given that the plaque attached to Alexandra Palace says "The world's first regular high definition television service was inaugurated here by the BBC November 1936"

These are descriptive terms used for marketing only the industry talks about vertical resolution. "Full HD" is marketing speak for 1080p, "HD" is 720p, and 4k resolution is called "UHD". Ignore the labels and just use the resolution number as your guide for comparison.
Great price for a mid-range handset.

The reboots - I was thinking more of the 4 times a day brigade which I could imagine would be quite annoying.

Wrong - from a marketing perspective. You won't see Fullest HD anywhere
Full HD is still 1080p
