What is Sim only?
SIM only is just that, where you only pay for the minutes, texts, and data you use on your sim-card.
You will have to supply your own device i.e phone/tablet to insert the sim-card into, hence why it's called 'sim only'

sorted by5G isn't available yet, so WiFi calling will probably come with that in Q2 or Q3
Why should I get a Talkmobile SIM only deal?
Talkmobile specialises in cheap SIM deals but we want to make your experience good too. We partner with Vodafone to give you great signal across 99.9% of the population.
More than that, we offer inclusive roaming in 41 destinations across Europe so you can use the data and calls in your SIM only plan wherever you are in that region.
We also offer spend caps so your bill will never be more than the amount you set in advance. It means you can use your phone in the way you want without fear of receiving a hefty bill.
Yes done all 4 Vodafone partners were all same speeds here.
I have checked on my s21 with *#0011# in dialer and shows I'm on band 20 most of the time. One of those weird things, but I'm happy, pay less and get better service.
They will change the 3 month to £7 95 on month 4, but apart from CPI and rpi increases, you won't see any other changes
I don't seem to have the option.
Weired their site seems to says WiFi Calling. Oh well I will jump onto it. It's not costly if it doesn't then I will port to a different one. Only thing is one more credit check.
They do however I recently got back from France and I could not get signal at all. It was so frustrating. I don't know if it was my phone or the SIM but I've not had this problem before so I think it was the SIM.
I have had less signal than with Voda in some areas so not sure what is going on.
No credit check on 30 day SIM only!
Fairly certain as brother in law just got one & his credit rating isn't great!
Could (not sure) be due to band 20 access. If I disable band 20 on Vodafone my speed goes up. At the in-laws VF only have band 20 - I was better off on 3G.
I am only guessing that TM may not have B20 access.
myself and my partner, we have this or lower sim only plans for probably over a year now. When we were on holiday in Lithuania, we could not get our sim cards to work properly, which was a huge problem as we were planning to take Uber from the airport. I have spent some time on chat with their support. Did some configuration and it was still 90% of the time trying to connect to the local network. Ended up using a local sim card.
Very good speeds around London. It sucked in Colhester, Essex tho.
Should have got in touch with them before you travelled especially if it sucked in Colchester they may well have told u it wouldn't work there.
Why would I do that? They claim Full European coverage and if I would get in touch with support. they would repeat it. I had impression it was isolated accident, but since someone brought the same issue in different country, it could be there is no actual roaming in EU
Oh well what will be will be !
Negative in what way mate?
Like them stopping/changing the contract etc? As it's only short term.
I know we can cancel and change so this is amazing value really if your Vodafone signal is good, and you don't use more than 15gb...
The massive positive of 51 country roaming over Voda...
And should a mega deal with phone for instance came up you have the flexibility of 1month..
I guess it seems a lil' too good to be true, so wondered if they can just change/ stop the contract with months notice too...
Basically thinking there must be something obvious I've missed, just picked up 'finally the PAYG Redmi Note 10 5g for my aunt, so I gather I just cancel that sim and swap her onto this one,
I had all of us on a cashback talk mobile for years and it was fine so might do the whole family to this one... As no one here needs more than 15gb :/ (edited)
