seems reasonable if quidco can track and pay

was £120 afew weeks ago.

Not bad but o2 do practically the same 'simplicity' deal for £20 a month with free internet.

But after cashback this deal with free net would work out to be approx 17 so cheaper than o2

o2 deal is better in my opinion.

I think I've got this right for a "like to like" comparison.
Also with o2 (unlike Vodafone), if I'm not mistaken, you can send txts from abroad to uk that come out of your free allocation, but 1 txt from abroad = 4 uk txts. ALso worth remember you get charge for internet access when abroad with 02 (not sure with Vodafone) Vodafone, whilst you get £100, £60 or £40 via quidco (some have had tracking problems in past) - doesn't give free bolt on.

like for like:
o2 (completed online) on a £19.58pm tarrif - 12 month simm only contract
quidco: £35 cashback
800 mins + 1800 txts + free bolt on (for 12 month sim only)
£19.58x12 = £234.96
less £35 quidco = £199.96 per year or £16.63 per month (but remember with free bolt-on)

Vodafone - £19.58 pm tarrif (includes vat adjustment) on 12 month simm only contract
QUidco: £100 cashback
600 mins + unlimited txt - You Pay extra for Bolt on

£19.58 x 12 = £234.96
Less £100 quidco = £134.96 pyear or £11.25 per month (but without bolt on
plus £5 for monthly internet for life value pack (as mentioned by LC)

Personally for our needs, I prefer the 02 simm (and already have one in the family) and am looking at changing our other vodafone contrac to it.

Was just about to post this! Heat added - its a great deal (if you don't need internet).

I missed out when they had QuidCo at £120 but £100 is not to be sniffed at either

Agree, I'm tempted to order one but it's more for work purposes rather than personal use to be honest.

Im currently on Vodafone (got £120 cahsback last year). How could I cancel and sign up again and still keep my number?

Simple :-

Just grab a free T Mobile or Virgin or Tesco payg sim card and port your no. onto it and then ask for your Pac Code from them and put it back to your new Voda sim.

I have only mentioned these 3 networks as they easily give out the Pac codes.

no need to top-up. If its tesco sim, dial 282 free to activate it or make a 10sec outgoing call to activcate it. Once activated make a few incoming calls.

Later ring their customer services and say you want a PAC code reason being you cant get a good signal in your new house :-D

And you are sorted ;-)

Cool, did that and it worked. Didnt ask any questions when i asked for the pac code from tesco :-D

cant beat the o2 deal

I think I'm going to recommend this to my father-in-law. He just needs a basic 'landline' replacement (no txt/web) and 600min for 11.66 a month (over 12 months) is less than NTL's phone line rental...

Also with o2 voicemail and customer service calls are free and not taken from your call allowance, not sure if Vodafone charge for calling customer service but voicemail is chargeable.

Not sure if I'm reading it wrong but Vodaphone site says 600 mins unlimited texts 12 month contract is £15

I was speaking with Vodafone CS yesterday, trying to get them to reduce my £20PM sim only deal. When they refused, I mentioned that I would get my PAC and switch to a sim with say Orange and then just switch back via Quidco. I was informed that they would not accept me back (this way) for 3 months! Lies?

Its a good deal currently.

I ordered O2 simplicity 20 and it worked out much cheaper than this deal as O2 was paying £100 cashback at that time. I got 800min + 1600 text+ free unlimited web bolt for 19.58/m.

It worked out as 19.58 X 12= 234.96 - £100 (quidco, tracked very easily)= 134.96
134.96/12=11.26/m

I've never had problems and recieved all my cashbacks from O2 till date but still waiting for cash back of £90 from vodaphone purchased in Febraury. It tracked very easily within two days but they are just not paying it out.
Very easy cahsback from T-mobile as well.

So I am bit wary of cashback from Vodaphone now.

Good luck.

You are absolutely right. Mods need to edit this post.

£15/m+unlimted web bolt on for £5/m taking you to £20/m.

If you are lucky enough to get cashback from voda then it is a very very hot deal ! as good as O2 deal a few months ago. But O2 still has huge advantage of international messaging coming out of your free allocation. So you are not paying extra and using your free allocation. very good value for money if it is relevant to you.

Only issue is quidco cash back, despite no problems in tracking and validating, Voda is just not paying my cashback.

Well spotted robdingwall

Seems pretty hot! I am currently on the o2 simplicity plan at the moment, and although I am perfectly happy with the service (and the fast, unlimited internet), I've just moved into an apartment with pretty much no 3G o2 signal and also very weak 2G signal.... so no choice but to switch.

Good deal at the right time!

By the way, is the internet use really "unlimited" or like 1/3GB a month? I don't mind if there's a fair usage policy, just not a definite cap.

this deal is not valid anymore : they've updated it to 900mins ultd texts for £20 /month + £100 quidco or 600mins ultd texts for £15/month + £70 QUIDCO as posted here : hotukdeals.com/ite…nt/

According to quidco the earnings are £70 for a £15pm contract. Has anyone's actually tracked for 100 yet?

Quidco is not guaranteed though, so the deal is not £11.67, it's a lot more. Shouldn't be posted as a deal at £11.67 imo.

Original Poster

Updated the deal to 900 mins, which is an even more fantastic offer. Added the quidco tracking statistics too, 97% are tracked and 87% of enquiries are successful, which is pretty good.

question - i already have a voda 30 day rolling sim. If i get this deal through quidco as well would it still track or is it new customers only? I'm looking at the 12 month option.
