This deal gives 8gb Data with unlimited mins and text.

A good deal for those who don't require so much data.

This deal was on earlier with £20 Amazon Gift card but that seems to have been taken down now.

No roaming with this sim. Might suit some but voxi is mvno owned by voda for the same price and does offer roaming if you need it. Also its only 30 days and not 12 months.

Probably better off going with Voxi for the 8GB deal(which is Vodafone, funnily enough) as you won't be tied into a contract + social media content does not eat into your data allowance
Just to point out this is the "basics" sim. So no EU roaming, in fact no coverage at all outside the uk except emergency numbers. But great if not bothered about foreign use.

Bear in mind this is a simple no frills sim deal cant use the sim abroad etc
Better on Voxi pay as you go as this allows roaming , including Turkey and Northern Cyprus , plus has free social media. No contract either , so you can leave when you like.
Got to agree with voxi comments. Currently a better deal with no contract
I took out a similar deal with 3 for the same price and that includes roaming.
Ulntd mins and texts and 8gb data.

This is the same deal; Vodafone Basics, no roaming!!
I thought the whole EU roaming thing had to be included on any package, don't understand how firms can offer plans that don't, otherwise surely all previous plans from any provider could just be switched to a no roaming one?

They could if they wanted.
Before you sign up (or buy this), my suggestion is to pop-in to some vodafone shop and get a SIM card (PAYG). they are free, and attempt to call the customer services (you can dial 191) and see how they perform (including the vodafone's web site). Then decide whether to buy this (or any other deal) from vodafone.

It’s quite simple european roaming has to be included if you offer roaming.

Three is forcing higher price plan on me - moving me from £7 to £12.
So is voxi one of the best deal around for approx 8gb of data?

Voxi 8Gb offer has finished now back to 6Gb with unlimited calls and text. Don't forget social media sites like Facebook don't come out of your data either and it's not on a contract. If a better offer comes up in the future ie next month , then you just switch to that. Wife did this, was on 6Gb and switched to 8Gb ( then offer lasts for next 24 months , you can still leave whenever you like).
The Vodafone deal in this thread is still on and go through Uswitch and you'll get a £10 voucher (Amazon, etc.) but don't forget there is no roaming. I'd still rather do the Voxi 6Gb deal with Roaming and no contract.
