Post Office mobile SIM only deal, 30 day rolling contract, uses the EE network.

Surely the cheapest plan for 2GB of data and decent minute allowance? Only drawback I can see is no 4g. Might be a better deal for those country bumpkins who can't access 4g perhaps...!

Only posting as it doesn't seem that well advertised and comparison sites don't seem to include it. Hope it helps someone anyway

It's a Pay As You Go 30 day bundle that is automatically renewed using your top up credit, and is not a contract in any way.

Tethering, and using the SIM in a tablet, dongle or MiFi device is allowed.

Spotted this deal myself. SIM ordered. Seems quite decent for non 4g phone users and those who don't mind EE network. Heat added.
Heat added
Just ordered sim and will get the £5 deal = 500mb data 250 mins.
Tried to signup to life mobile earlier, they couldn't even get me started by taking my money, told me it was my bank at fault - it wasn't!
Could be just what I've been looking for - thanks woo7dy.
Moved from TPO to the post office last month, smooth transfer over of number (less than 24hrs), decent tariff plus the free credit you get every month acts as bit of a buffer zone. Happy so far.
Have some heat - this looks like a great deal
Seems like a good deal
not bad
Good deal! As its on EE network has anyone tried to tether? They seem more relaxed about it than other networks in there push for domination
Just get the Vodafone sim only deal for £5.50: unlimited minutes and texts and 2gb of 4g data on mobile.co.uk
Seems to have reduced text messages from 5000 to 3000, still loads though for a normal person
Three is £20 unlimited data. For me this Post Office deal is luke warm.

Who needs 1000s of texts these days with whatsapp etc

Buffdude01 the virgin deal is £15.30 a month, it works out to £5.50 by using cash back over the 12 month period. It would then go back up to the full £15.30 after the first year is over.
Ive got this a its spot on,if the price is kept ,happy customers will stop,if prices rise then people will move just like i have from giffgaff who got greedy.keep up the good work post office

Country bumpkins

Voted hot, but for clarity I think this is a 30 day bundle on a PAYG sim rather than a 30 day rolling contract - not quite the same thing☺

Bundles renew automatically so to all intents and purposes it's the same as a rolling contract?

Not really the same thing at all, as with a contract you get a bill each month and any out of bundle charges get lumped on there (and usually you get credit checked), so potential for an unexpected high bill, with payg it will just use your airtime balance so worst case you'll use any credit you have.
We've been on post office mobile for around 6 months so far so good, 4 mobile phones in our family all on these bundles so can't be bad!
No 4G, cold for me.

Not really. No Direct Debit, no failed payment charges, no unexpected bills, no credit check, cancellable anytime online or by text without having to call them. The list goes on.

If there is no direct debit how does it renew automatically?

It comes out of your top up credit. If you haven't topped up enough in advance for the bundle to renew after the old one expires then the bundle won't renew.

Hey, nice to see folk appreciating the deal I see the dreaded Vodafone has been mentioned. I was with them for quite some years and have to say wherever I went in the country, trying to get 3G coverage was virtually impossible. Then went to Virgin who use EE and virtually everywhere I go now, I get 3G.

iD Mobile deal is the same bundle as the £10 PO one posted granted, but for the slight possibility you might get 4G with them, you're stuck on the 3 network and iD mobile have terrible reviews...Potato Patata! I personally think this is the best £10 Sim deal with 2gb of data and 500mins

I get a great 4g reception with three so for me id is the better deal. Just done a speed test, 34.28 mbps down 1.93 up
