Decent deal

I was going to go with tesco but went with giffgaff, tesco also do that same deal with 500 talk for 3 months £12.50

was also looking at this earlier and though it was a good deal. If I remember correctly, the iPhone sim is the same but has a 3 month term instead of 12 months as this one does.

@kknb0800 i cant find the 3-month term sim?

I was thinking of buying the galaxy s2 for £372 from prepaymania...then getting this sim??

For those who aren't aware, Tesco = O2. Will even come up as O2 as your network provider on your phone.

avoid Tesco like the plaque

liars and con merchants

i bet its not 1gb of data and its 20kb in the small print

only good if you REALLY need the minutes.

I suggest trying a provider out with a monthly/payg sim before signing a year long contract.

I did just that with THREE the other month and I'm so glad I did, even got them to refund my £10 top up it was so bad.

I've considered Tesco Mobile in the past but the terrible reviews of their CS put me off so I went with GiffGaff - all networks have their issues but if you're on a 30 day contract the power is in your hands, not theirs. It's weird how that can focus their minds when offering support lol.

Avoid like the plaque on your teeth? never heard that one before LOL

Also have 1500 mins, 5000 texts, and 1gb data for £17.50. Not bad if you use a lot of minutes...

just dont go over the 1gb of data, no matter what !

i know you shouldnt, as it "should" be enough, but tesco cash in bigtime with charges over your allowance, still, good deal!

Toasty if you need the minutes.

Good deal to keep my fluffynuts warm for winter ;-) good find

I second that. Another good thing is if you desperate to get a new phone (with a contract), log on to your account and click 'Request your PAC code' to move to a different network and keep your number. Takes a minute.

Got this but with 500Mb data less than a month ago. Could I get the extra if I call?

i'm on tesco ,£12.50 per mth..not had any probs and i've been with them for 14mth now..you can cap it so you'll not go over the mins, text or data..

or pay an extra £2.50 a month and get a blackberry curve 8520

Can you get a micro sim from them ?

I have been with Tesco for 18 months with no problems. I have just changed to the iPhone 3 month £12.50 deal the sim you get is the multi size fits both normal and micro. I looked at giffgaff and posted a question with one of their agents, the reply took 5 days and was rubbish. Bear in mind with giffgaff you cannot talk to anyone direct about your account. If you are are abroad or have your phone stolen and want your sim blocked its a case of emailing them and waiting 3 days plus for a reply.
Good deal by the way but if you can make do with 500 mins go for the 3 month one.

Not a brilliant 3g signal if you are a heavy internet user.

Maybe on some phones. My iPhone had Tesco before I switched to GiffGaff.

Well I tried to get O2 to price match been with them for about 5 years, the closest they came to was £16 a month with 600mins unlimited txt 500MB. Cancelled my contract right there and then.

This is what Tesco have said on their website:

The new iPhone 4 has a different size SIM card from any other phone. This has been named “Micro SIM”. Customers who buy an iPhone 4 outside of Tesco Mobile, will be able to request a new Micro SIM via our customer Service team by an adviser completing the SIM Replacement online form and selecting the “Upgrade to Micro SIM” option. The customer will then receive a New Micro SIM and adaptor within 3 working days.
Sometimes customers may wish to use their new Micro SIM card in another phone. So we have issued a new Micro SIM adaptor to all our customers who have bought a new Micro SIM. All the customer has to do is place the Micro SIM card into the adaptor, and the Micro SIM will act just like a regular SIM card.

Does anyone know how long this deal is likely to last? my contract expires in around a month and a half. Maybe should get it now regardless

1gb internet? WOW! can I use it all in 1 day please?

I'm not sure how long they'll keep the deal for. They normally change it every now and then

when there's no 3g signal on 3 it uses orange i think, might be wrong but that might be why.

does anyone know if the internet speed is limited slightly on networks than run on other networks? i'm on giffgaff atm, tested the internet speed on my defy and on hsdpa with full signal it was like 1.6mbps max. surely it should be more than this? isn't hsdpa up to 7.2mbps?

just thinking if i was o2 and had tesco and giffgaff running off me then i'd prioritise the o2 customer speed first

hot and i would buy it if i wasn't moving within the next 12 months and scared of losing signal

Have this as a back up Sim - only problem no call waiting - besides that no problems

Really nice deal.

I'd so badly give 500 of those minutes for an extra 500mb of data and dropping it to £10

cold - giffgaff better and no contract.

For only £10 get 250 UK minutes, unlimited UK texts and unlimited mobile Internet for one month. Plus, you will still benefit from our free giffgaff to giffgaff calls and texts on top of that.

I get this deal for £10 a month because I'm on staff tariff. The perks of having the biggest retailer as your employer are brill.
