£5.83/pm possible when going through TopCashback's £50 claim on this £10/pm 12-month contract.

i.e. £10 x 12 months = £120
£120 - £50 cashback = £70
£70 / 12 months = £5.83

This is supposing you cancel after 12 months, of course.

A few more details about this plan available here.

Love Three, best customer service ever. I was recently in Montana, USA where I had free data roam, but I was close to Canadian border so Canada grabbed my data network and cost me £27 for data ! Three refunded me straight away.

Just want to add, it happened to my girlfriend as well as we were together at the time and Three refunded her as well.

Simply simply lovely
Did this back in March. The cashback just recently became payable.

I had a contract with 3 at the time, changed it to pay as you go and got this one. Looking to repeat this process every 12 months.

The thing is, it's not like it's even a lie, the service hasn't been great in terms of 4G lately (where I live anyway). It's strange as up until a few weeks ago it was awesome. Cheers for the tip and congratulations on your monthly bill, that's just awesome!

Good luck!

It’s £5.12 now due to RPI increases but that doesn’t bother me. The tip is to go onto live chat but don’t mention anything to do with leaving, retentions or upgrades etc. If you have unlimited minutes and don’t need it then ask the live chat agent if you could swap your unlimited minutes for more/unlimited data. If Three insist they can’t do anything online via live chat then just tell them again that all you are looking to do is ‘change plan
I was on this contract, last time I checked Virgin was offering 10gb for £10...

Edit: That deal seems gone now sadly. Ah well. Might come back!

interesting...good deal, but why as many comments?
I am on Three SIM only but out of contract, any way I can get this deal? Or will I have to move to a different network for a year then back to Three?
Thanks for posting @ibnMuhammad_ we have added this to today's Highlights
I was on 4gb for £9 a month, no tethering. got a letter last week saying they are moving me to a rolling £16 a month contract for same deal. So I have decided to try sky mobile for a year, same price as this deal and £50 quidco

Yes you can
You probably will have to get rid of your old number, not a issue for me but maybe for some

I had to cancel my direct debit and had to ring their customer service line 8 times for a resolution. I got directed several times each call, and a few times to some random trade union's customer service who said they get a lot of redirects from Three and have no clue why. The other times would be telling me to submit proof to a certain email address and wait three days which yielded no result. Finally after several phone calls I got hold of someone who waived the early termination fees. Bloody joke.

Well it is a contract but still way too much

Thats what I don’t get with Three. I’m also with Three on a rolling contract £5.12 for 600 minutes, unlimited text and unlimited data/hotspot. Been on it for over a year now and still no letters (yet)

Same but I've got 200min but I pay £7
I did spend tons of time of multiple live chats for ages to get to the point where I had £7 monthly to pay and credit, some times honest issues some times exaggeration on small issues, etc
Great value but rancid customer service

Switching Pac codes are now available by sending a text, no need to phone three.
ofcom.org.uk/abo…ext

How it will work

Mobile customers will simply request a unique switching code, either by text or online, to pass on to their new provider – who must then arrange for the switch to complete within one working day.

People will text one of two memorable short codes, depending on whether or not they wish to keep their existing mobile telephone number. All mobile providers will have to use the same short codes.

A customer’s existing provider must immediately respond by text – with either a ‘porting authorisation code’ (PAC) for those wishing to keep their phone number, or a cancellation code for those who want a new number. For businesses, they will get this code within two working days.

Because this will be quick and easy, customers could request their code while looking for a new deal – for example, while on the phone to a new provider, or in store.

The provider’s reply must also include important information about any early termination charges, outstanding handset costs, or pay-as-you-go credit balances.

The unique switching code will be valid for 30 days. A customer will be able to pass the code on to their new provider at the point they place an order for their new service, without the need for any further conversation.

They should have a system where you can get select the country so it doesn't accidentally use another countries if you're near a border
Though it's pretty cheaper for them to refund when that happens instead of building a system

Free data

Everyone saying bad customer service vs good customer service, is probably down to how YOU talk to THEM. You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar.

I'm on exactly the same plan, so is my Dad. We both started the contact at the same time, yet he got that letter too, I didn't.

I don't get why Three keep doing that when other people on unlimited data for a fraction of the price.

Yeah it's part of the reason why I couldn't be bothered negotiating with them. The least they could do is give you the same offers they have for new customers in those letters, just really annoyed me that it was so much more money for less data than this newbie offer.
Can you use this SIM in a tablet for data only? I keep reading mixed answers to this, some saying they don't allow it to be used in a tablet and some do.
I pay this with BT but get 10GB
Have to say I joined 3 a few months back and the coverage isn't great where I am in West sussex unfortunately
Three has awful speeds I get max 10mb in my area when I was with EE I use to get min 80mb all day long, you pay for what you get, also EE CS is 100% based in UK whereas three CS is 100% based in India

Howmuch were you paying before? i'm currently on a contract i got 1-2years ago £18.45 per month for unlimited mins/text and 30gb data (got cb for awhile but it didn't actually pay me??) anyway if i go to the livechat would i just say to them i'm not happy with the service? i would love to get that plan you got to even £10/month lol

Same as most providers tbf. Just move your number to another PAYG and then move it back to a better offer (if you're bothered about keeping the same number)
I really need USA roaming so, I got a PAYG 3 sim first, to check signal etc, all pretty good, so I then got this deal via Quidco.
Both tracked, £2 for PAYG & £45 for the 12 month deal
I do love mobile network related threads.

"Worst customer service ever, worst signal ever, blah blah bloody blah"

Then that person quoted by another member..

"best network by a mile. Never had a problem. Amazing signal, blah blah bloody blah".

Yes, we get it. Different people get different signal strength, different level of competence with the person they connect to in the call center.

It's like people are looking to disprove or discredit other people's experiences by quoting their own, opposite experience.

Well that's my little rant over with.

Carry on.

Worst network I’ve ever been with. No coverage wherever I went & their ‘customer services’ basically told me tough. Stone cold
Sorry but don't waste your time on topcashback as it dont track.

I was on 12gb for 10 quid
That's very generous of them. Didn't happen to me when I was in corfu . Got a text message telling me all my calls were free in the EU. Unfortunately the call I made connected to Albania across the sea and cost me about £27. Three refused to waive any of the charges. I have been with them for most of the last 20 years as their deals have consistently been by far the best. The signal is usually good except in big old houses, which seem to block it.
How do I get this deal if I'm already with 3? My 12 month contract ended ages ago (12GB 600m unlimited text for £17) but barely use more than 3-4GB. And Three won't let me downgrade and cba to argue with customer service.

Should I request PAC and buy a PAYG sim, buy this then transfer back after, as some have suggested doing?

At least that's the theory, although when I tried to get my PAC from O2 on Saturday using the new system I got this:

38045794-GESvs.jpg

Even though the text was sent from the number I wanted to move they required me to call them. Following the link provided in the text just took me round in circles including on to their customer forum where lots of others were complaining about exactly the same issue.

Early days I suppose.
Left plusnet via the new text mechanism, signed up, tracked, holiday to the US soon, everyone is happy!

Sign up for this deal through TCB.
Contact 3 through your current number to request a change of contract to PAYG.
Once your new sim arrives insert it into your phone and activate
Wait the 30 days for your current contract to change to PAYG then request a PAC
Complete the form for Three to transfer your number to your new contract

I think Skymobile is better - they offer the exact same deal as three but the added feature is that you can rollover your data for up to three years. Also £50 cashback via quidco

Unfortunately people don't recognise the data roll over bit....if you get a good o2 signal then definitely go for this....with unlimited streaming if your a sky TV subscriber.
You will probably have to work for the Cashback, each time i have had large cashback on Top cashback they have been declined , after an appeal they were paid but i wonder if this is deliberate on their part to discourage people from claiming.........

I’ve found the complete opposite, I’ve always received excellent and very helpful customer service from them and great deals when I’ve come to renew my sim only contract. Currently paying £14.00 for unlimited data, unlimited texts and 600mins.
