SIM only EE deal - 8GB unltd mins and txt £13.50 for 12 months - £162

This is my first ever post but had to share on here

My contract was up for renewal and not wanting to change my phone I opted for a sim only deal

Using the plusnet deals as bait, I called 150 and was offered the following:

4GB with unlimited mins and text at £8.99 8GB with unlimited mins and text at £13.50

This is on 4G....I went with the 8GB option

Not a bad deal me thinks!

OP got a retention deal. You will not get it if you are a new customer.

4g essential I assume...

Great deal. Shame I just went past my cooling off period

For £15/month getting 20GB data, 4G unlimited, unlimited text and talk. EU roaming on 8GB data, unlimited text and talk so for an extra £1.50 a lot better deal i my view and went about it the same way.. There is a lengthy thread on the matter somewhere.

Three currently offering 12gb for £13 and 30gb for £18. Both with 600mins and unlimited texts. But you can also use abroad at no extra cost. Wifi calling works a treat in my house as no signal in the house. If you have certain phones you also get 4g super voice which is better again for houses with poor signal.

to get said deal, you need to put forward the virgin sim only deal for £15 a month which has 20gb...EE will match it. Tried and tested, I however got 15gb data roaming in Europe with free BT sports app for the full 12 months.
also state that virgin is a monthly rolling and use the EE network, so you don't even have to unlock your phone :-D
happy bartering!

Aha yeah, forgot the BT sports! A quick question - How do I get it/activate it?

How do you people get these deals. They never offer me anything like this. I'm paying £13 for 2gb unlimited calls/txt.

Good deal

I just got 25g of data, 4g unlimited calls and texts and 30 day rolling contract and first 2 months free for £15pcm.
oh and 15g roaming

Got the same deal as the OP last night, as I mentioned the 3 deal. Seems to be the £26 EE plan, discounted. 500mb data usage abroad, not as good as 3 but saved me having to switch and risk losing the decent coverage I have at home.

Call them again and say you were talking to a friend of yours who has just got the 20Gb deal for £15, etc. They could not find it to begin with for me, then I pushed again and said it's available and then they found it....

I called as my contract and they are really generous at keeping existing customers. I went from paying £15.99 for Unltd min & text and 2GB of 4G data to 7GB data on 4GEE Max and Unltd texts & mins (UK and from EU to UK) plus 6 months Apple Music and BT Sports for 12.99! Not too shabby if I do say so myself.☺

12GB for £13? I can see only £13 for 8gb/600mb/ult texts ending January 31st... how are you getting that extra data?

Sounds great but I'd never go with EE ever again. Customer service shocking an poor signal

I used the BT family SIM only deal to negotiate the 20gb 4gEEmax deal for 4 of us for £57.50 from the retention team. I was initially getting the same for £82.50 but cancelled.

They do some good cashback deals and are extremely reliable with paying but it's better to get the same deal without the need for cashback.
I have one month remaining of a cashback deal I took it out this time last year. Costing me a couple of quid a month after cashback but it's only 2gb data and I am on the lookout for a deal that has a
Bit more data. The 100+mb speed I can get doesn't get very far when I am on the road.

The EE 'upgrades' team won't always offer you the best deal, they offered me £25 a month for 10gb data, unlimited texts and calls. I said it's not good enough and asked to be put through to the cancellations team for a PAC code, that's when I got offered the £15 a month for 20gb data, unlimited mins and calls, within a minute!! Didn't even have to argue! Massive difference in the two deals, always worth going through to cancellations!

Ask to go to the cancellations team. They offer way better deals than the upgrades team

I am currently with Vodafone and wanting to go Sim Only.

Do you know if they would offer these deals to new customers? If i called up and enquired then said actually i can this deal from Virgin for £15 etc would they match it?

Or is it for retentions only so id have to be with them for a year then ring to cancel etc?

Why has text suddenly become plural? It's Texts!!!!!!!!!

Mobile.Co.UK customer service is good they actually listen to you lol

pay £15 and get the virgin mobile 20GB

2 months ago I called up and asked for my PAC code, with EE don't accept any offers initially rather get the PAC on hand and then the last guys will give you a call back and literally offer a ridiculous offer to keep you. At first they said they can't match my 20gb with unlimited mins and texts for £20 so I requested PAC code, 4 hours later they called and after a 15 min call I was offered 20gb data (12 which you can use in eu) unlimited mins and texts again can be used to and from Europe as well as a years free bt sports for......£11.99 couldn't refuse plus it was their fastest speeds

I already have a sim only deal with EE which isn't as good as the ones mentioned above. If I ring up and ask to change my plan is that a thing they can do? Or is it not worth my effort?

Managed to get the following from EE refuse to loose team on 12 month sim only on there top speed 4gee max plan
25gb uk data
unlim text & mins uk
unlim text & mins EU
up to 15gb data use in EU
Free 6 months BT Sport
Free 6 months Apple Music
£16.50 per month
Maybe a little overkill on data but at £16.50 per month its a bargain.
You must get your pac code and await a phone call from there refuse to loose team, if don't receive call and code expires just do it again.

Always worth a try, depends how much into your contract you are, etc. 150 ain't going to cost you anything except your time!

i've had my pac since 2nd Jan and no ones rang me back yet....

Waiting in hope!!!

text sport or something like that to 150

Currently paying £20 a month for the same thing... Only renewed contract 2 months ago

Can confirm this. I've just rang now and got the 4GB 8.99 p/m didn't need to go through to retentions and no arguments.... just tried to fob me headsets and tablets which I declined

All the comments on here are suggesting to call up and get the unlimited everything and 20gb 4G for £15 Yet this deal is still getting more then 300 heat?

It also depends when you talk to them. I rang during the Black Friday weekend deals, thinking they'd have other deals they could offer me. Rep told me I should talk to them after that had expired, because most of the other deals/discounting available to them had been suspended for the promotion.

I tried phoning EE last night to see if they would match the £15 20GB Virgin deal, they said they couldn't offer anything close to that. Best they could do is £25pm..
I'm not with EE currently so can't try the cancellations team, how can i get EE to match?

Its the outbound retention team you require. Often the other team you are put through to are not even aware of best ee offers.
I have got to know one of them and he is a really good guy. Just redone 2 contracts on 20gb ult/ult as previous posts for 15.
You could get the cheapest 30 day contract from ee then cancel, then you can be retained.

So many different opinions/options on this thread.
Can someone tell me the best deal from other providers that i can use to barter with EE?
Got 1 months left on my current deal with them before i can request my PAC without penalty but i am hoping they will offer me a good deal and i wont have to use my pac.
I would like about 5-10gb data.
Minutes 100 (if That)

For extra £1.50 you can get 20gb with data rollover from Virgin

Just rang them.
They wont waive the £13 buyout charge for the remaining 2 months of my contract but they price matched the Virgin 20Gb (£15) deal immediately without me asking twice.
Although this was the first person i spoke to and not the "refuse to lose" team as some members have reported success with.
If they had waived the cancellation charge i would have snapped it up.
