The only drawback with Plusnet is that their credit checks seem to fail semi-frequently and for no reason (myself included being rejected for a £5 pcm contract with a perfect Experian credit score)

You are absolutely right already a customer of Plusnet for 2 years. I wanted to add another account placed an order online on their website but failed their credit check i have Experian score of 993 out of 999 still dealing with them to confirm why they refused credit.

Only have 1 SIM with them and no such issues.

*Edit* Like you said, must be sporadic, looked at the 3 previous deals from Plusnet, not one person mentioned credit check failures. What is interesting and I wasn't aware of this is the inability to reply to 5 digit short code numbers.:

1. See response from Plusnet on their forums. There are many threads on the subject from people complaining about this issue in their forum and official responses from Plusnet are all the same, they say such messages are not supported.

2. Also, see the bit about premium texts and short codes in "the legal bit" when you start to place an order on the website. (Annoyingly I've not seen any reference to it in the online mobile price guide or other legal sections, they just mention what forms of use are available not what services aren't available.)

I hope this reassures you and others that this information came from an authoritative source and I had no intention of fibbing to anyone.

I,ve had same problem! Went thru with my brothers account which is less than perfect to say the least!
Plusnet. Why have several clearly defined tariffs, when you can have 37489272 slightly different ones.

....which are not that great to start with.
Calling on the 01/02/18 for two of these. Great find thanks.
I joined up with them this week myself 5gb data and unlimited calls & texts £10 30 day rolling contract been using with no probs
