Worst thing I did moving from EE to 3 - Unlimted data that you cant get any signal or speed to use. Lots of outages recently too.
Three's got pretty bad recently in my experience. Speeds all over the place (usually down). I hope it's temporary whilst they upgrade their network.

I've been with 3 for years, I have 3 contracts for me and 2 kids, I'm leaving soon, we've had 2 outages lately and signal is bad where I live now, they have given me free months when I complain and have been told twice there is a fault then text to say it's fixed but it's still the same.
I was with 3 for 11 years and when I complained about their recently terrible data I was told that they didn't need my business.

I'm now with EE and the service is flawless. Not sure why I suffered with 3 for so long.

Ill be going back to EE as soon as I can!
Never had a problem with 3. Been with them for about 4 years.

Naa I had unlimited @ £8 and well hell no, un useable. Since I was stuck on a contract and they have the nerve to blame the phones I had, s9 plus, note 9 and new 10 plus. Saying those are problems. BTW I put the sim on my work iPhone x then they blamed the phones.

Best thing I done was moving from 3 to EE (via PlusNet)

Finally get signal in city centres and get throughput in busy places. The downside is dropped calls when walking between cell towers so it's not perfect.

Great offer if anyone can handle three UK customer service department.

Moving to EE this black Friday with the 20% code.
Three isn't worth the hassle too many signal and speeds issues in London and many major cities.

Been with 3 for a few years and got everything unlimited for £14 it’s no use if you can’t use it. Got a new contract with EE £14 for 25gb. Just trying out to see how the data is before I port number

I can't find any cashback for unlimited data, but if you can cope with 100gb a month, you can get this plan for £17 per month plus £72.50 Topcashback.
They've taken on a shed load of new customers, without improving their infrastructure. I'm leaving Three soon as the other deals are out.

Yes my services has been degrading very badly hardly any data in Manchester city centre and major parts of London areas.

Tried a EE payandgo sim last week it's night and day.
Three is that bad, I'm contemplating going back to virgin mobile! 😨

Have this plan, been with 3 for years. As others have said, the signal is hit n' miss. I live rurally and I accept that the signal won't be great there - no network is. But I have a Home Signal box and more recently, WiFi Calling.

What I really have issue with, is signal in the cities... I get about a bit with work and you really notice it then! Shame, their service has definitely gone down hill imo.

If you get good coverage and don't go anywhere, this is an awesome deal. Heated OP!

Three is the worst network the service has degraded speeds are like 1996 dial up speeds if you complain over the phone or live chat they will fob you off with any reason saying next 7 days you will have full speeds and lie to you.

They even got the cheek to send you a letter telling me to pay more each month for the service currently paying £9 for unlimited data with 600 minutes from the next 30 days your plan will change to
30gb unlimited text/minutes £18

I rather pay the extra and join EE or Vodafone atleast you get a decent signal and speeds and no BS from customer service.

Agreed, I had a smarty sim on unlimited. Could never actually use the data over a large part of the Kent county, mainly the Gravesend area.

Yes my speeds gone downhill googlemaps doesn't load up they definitely oversubscribed the network.
Just mind they changed their roaming policy last year so " you can use up to 19GB of your data allowance" roaming in Europe.
To most people probably not an issue but if you live on the border with Eire and spend a lot of time in Donegal etc then worth noting.
If 5g is going to be important to you say from mid 2020 you may want to hang fire on taking out new contracts and look into which networks use which frequencies and the difference between frequencies being used. Ps I’ve been with 3 since nearly the beginning of three worked all over the UK signal varies between towns and city’s but overall I’m happy, as some have said lately a lot of dropped signals due to work being carried out on three network but In my mind that shows that three are on the ball and future proofing their network / complain nicely to three get a couple of months free rental for inconvenience.
I really regret moving to 3. The signal strength is really poor for me and their customer service is terrible
wow if i read this i would stay away from 3. However during the summer i go caravaning and last summer had two 4g mifi devices one with a 3 sim (smarty) and one with an EE sim. Using both dependant upon location and service i really couldn't see much difference. Sometimes 3 would be faster and sometimes EE (using speedtest)- not very scientific but did show location was important rather than provider just my opinion but understand frustration with poor perfomance

I called the number and asked for the 20% off deal and was quoted that price. No idea how they worked it out. I suggest you call them and ask and also tell them you know someone who has got that price
Waiting for a deal so I can leave 3!

Three is that bad, I'm contemplating going back to virgin mobile! 😨

Don't do it hahaha
Loads of outages and intermittent slow speeds over the last 2 months or so. Been with them years but i use my phone as a hotspot for my PS4 and downloads cause the speeds beat my broadband. Would like to jump ship but i need plenty of data to hotspot!
So sad that most of the comments are negative about 3. But I'm seeing that a lot of these comments are coming from those who live in the South which leads me to believe that 3 have an issue with their masts in the South. (Gross understatement I know).

For those of you who do have a problem with 3, I would say don't suffer. Move to another network. There are so many decent deals out there now.

I was with Tesco Mobile for 1 year. It was the longest year of my life. Signal was atrocious and customer services were terribly rude. When I got out I felt like I got my life back.
Well my experience is I had virgin which was good signal got 40mb in my house I decided to go to three on black Friday last year and the speed is no where near good as my virgin was. Spoke to bt who are my broadband provider they said they will do there new halo unlimited SIM for £20 per month and increase my broadband from 50mb which I got constantly to 73mb the higher tariff for the same price I am paying now which is £29.99 per month. So for the same price I am paying now I can get increased home broadband speed, unlimited everything SIM on by (which own ee and they give you the top speed on there halo plan) and also unlimited calls on my landline which I only weekends now. All I have to do in take out a new 24 month contract with bt broadband which is fine as bt broadband has been brilliant for me better than Vodafone I had last. If you got bt broadband might be worth giving them a call to see what deal they can do for you on the new unlimited plan
I have been with three for 10 years. Had a great deal so never upgraded. 2000 X net mins 2000 txts, 5000 three to three mins and unlimited all-you-can-eat data with unlimited hotspot for £11 a month.

I recently received a letter and text message from them saying that this tariff is no longer going to be available. I call them yesterday to see what they can do do and they were not very helpful at all. The network itself I have never had a problem with until a few weeks ago when they had a technical issue.I understand there is a lot of 5G maintenance work going on at the moment hence why people are having data issues. But yes there customer service is terrible
just called three up about this deal, my contracts out and I would have happily signed up again. Advisor denied it existed and argued with me about other deals I had seen. Pac code ready for black friday I think
