This is a really good deal if you are in the market for a posh kitchen bin. These are £100 in other outlets including John Lewis. As far as I can see its in store only. Stainless steel with a 10 year guarantee. It's a lot for a bin but I think worth it. I got mine from the Chilwell store in Nottinghamshire

An arm, a leg and a few fingers. You need to watch what you're getting caught in that bin! X)

I'm far from poor, but unlike you I have more sense than money.

Poor doesn't come into it. it's a matter of value. The reason people gave money is because they don't fritter it away on gadgets , buy things they don't need or spend more than they need to!!!
I own this & it's the best bin ever and the simplehuman bags are amazing
I'm a man & it makes emptying a bin so much fun

i cant speak for this paticular bin, but while their butterfly ones are by no means cheap, they are value for money in respect of materials, design, build quality etc.
Simplehuman bins are amazing.

If you think how often you use your kitchen bin (20+ times a day in this household) and that it's guaranteed for 10 years, it doesn't seem such bad value.

The smooth lid action makes life so much easier, no more sticking lids from cheap pedal bins or those nasty push lid bins you have to touch (I've never understood that, the pedals are so much more hygienic and easier). Oh, and no more squeaking parts or clunky closing either.

I did have a problem about 5 years ago with my bin making a noise and customer services couriered the replacement part to me free the next day.

I was lucky to get mine cheaper than this, and it still looks as good as new 6+ years later.

I have the brushed metal one and it always looks good, no smearing or marks on the metal like you can get with the shiny metal.
