Lidl are selling spaghetti at 23p a pack while the penne at 29p. I tried the spaghetti and they are as good as the Combino, or any other supermarket brand. This pasta is made 100% From durum wheat And made in Italy too

Thanks sconto

Definitely penne for the poor this month. HOT!

what is the pack size please?

so same price as asda, morrisons, aldi and 3p more than tesco?

Or is this a larger than normal pack?

This is for 500g and you're confusing it with the spaghetti. 50p is cheapest in asda for penne, 29p in tesco. Probably same price in aldi though.

Edit - sorry misread post, penne is a good deal but spaghetti average as you say.

It's the same size 500 grams, but The quality is far superior. The economy pasta
From tesco and ASDA isn't great (made with soft and durum wheat) . Instead this simply pasta from Lidl is "proper" 100% durum wheat, as good as the 50p a pack from ASDA (not economy) or Fattoria verde from Tesco (£1 a kilo)

Tesco substituted some of my last batch of spaghetti with the non-economy stuff and I don't recall it tasting any different. Or is it supposed to be better nutritionally?

Normal price, but seems to be better ingredients that most supermarkets. Same prices in Aldi too I believe

I usually buy this from Aldi but go to Lidl more so glad they now have it as an option. Don't like the ones that have soft durum added.

Me too, I think if it has soft wheat the texture is not as good and can't achieve "al dente"
