i thought so, a cold vote it is then

Good deal, it's downhill from season 10 onwards.

I was in Borders in Southampton today. They had seasons 1 & 4 of The Simpsons and they were 5.99 each.

no borders around here

None in Birmingham, apparently some a**hole went in yesterday and bought literally all the stock, over 1200. You know there on ebay as we speak

I don't see the problem. If Borders want to get rid of their stock and reduce it, what do they care if one person buys all of them? They get the same amount of money.

I also believe martin lewis has a discount on boreders of 20%, cant seem to find it again though :@

they might have wanted to use it as a loss-leader to draw in more customers

Lol. Yes, I think we are all intelligent enough to notice that Borders will still make the same amount of money. But simply ask yourself this question: Why do X items per person situations ever arise? If their is literally no problem to be seen with somebody buying the whole stock (as you arrogantly, and wrongly, suggest), you cannot answer the question. I eagerly await your response.

I was in Oxford St and Charring Cross yesterday but there were none I could see. Is this nationwide??

Because some promotions are loss leaders designed to get people into a store in the hope they will buy other items. The idea is to generate interest. Like Virgin sales in the past offering boxsets for £5 limited to one per customer etc.

If the Simpsons promotion was a 'loss leader' then it would be one per customer.

But I agree it sucks when some **** goes in and buys up every copy of whatever which I suspect has happened in London stores.

Got seasons one and two for 5.99 each in glasgow today. lovely.
