Who the hell plays Sims on a console anyway?

People like me who doesn’t own a pc
One of the laziest ports I've seen in a while, and from a major company like EA to boot. Particularly surprising given it's from one of their biggest franchises.

After playing the trial I'm super disappointed. It's literally like they've just dumped the PC version onto a console. The UI and menus are identical and the left stick just controls an on screen cursor - it's the laziest stuff. Even to the point where you push the cursor to the edge and it pans the camera - actual cursor edge panning on a console game.

It feels like I'm playing it through my Steam Link or something rather than an actual console game. There should be more awareness and noise about EA trying to pull rubbish like this.

Sounds good that it is similar to the PC version though? Xbox 360 version of Sims 3 felt very watered down.

It's not even similar it's identical. They made little effort to adjust it for the console, even the UI and menus aren't scaled for TVs it's just the pc version dumped onto console.

It's good that it's not watered down but games like Cities Skylines are awesome ports. They put in the work to make it work great on console but without losing anything from the pc version. EA definitely could have done this but they've done the bare minimum - it's definitely a quick crash grab which is super disappointing.

Totally agree , played last night haha awful
Managed to get a full refund on my preorder from MS no questions asked, took a couple of minutes on live chat. The trial completely unsold me on the game, such a lazy port.
