Seems like an excellent price for a return flight to Bali from Birmingham for June next year with excellent airlines. 1 x 23kg checked bag is included per passenger. The flight involves 2 stops in each direction in Zurich and Singapore so this trip may not be for everyone

Example dates:
27th May - 3rd June
11th - 29th June

Before my flight from Jakarta to Bali I was pulled aside and interrogated …Before my flight from Jakarta to Bali I was pulled aside and interrogated . I was the only black person on the flight and was sadly a victim of racial profiling. I urge you to avoid this racist country, great deal but just a warning ahead.

So your response to being racially profiled by one individual is to racially profile an entire country?

Aaaaah amazing. I’m correct in saying that the cost of living out there is pittance so could stretch a 2 week holiday out on a budget ?
Off season, all cheap flights here are for a reason.
£511 is the cheapest I can find on those dates. Is it dead already?

Yes, food and good accommodation is cheaper than chips. Pick a good homestay in a couple of places via say Booking.com and £300 will more than sustain you and pay for travel etc. In Ubud if you are a little of the beaten track, and eat locally you’ll get calamari for days for £2 and Nasi goreng for £1.50 and your stomach will be fine. Homestay owners normally have good connections for cheaper deals. Enjoy. I went to Bali on a deal posted here.

And so on.

That might be the case on mainland Indonesia but Bali are the most friendly people you will encounter.
Bare in mind that this flight goes from BHX to LHR, stops for refuel, then flies to Singapore... After a further refuel, it goes onwards to Bali.

It is not direct.

Hope that helps.

Kindest regards

Debatable in my experience. Some very friendly ones, but also some not very friendly ones. Highlights include locals extorting tourists with "tolls" for driving through their territory, local taxi drivers threatening Grab/Uber drivers, and widespread animal abuse.

I'm here right now. Paid £200 for the month for a room in a homestay. They even clean it everyday, whenever I leave and come back my room is cleaned and smells like strawberries. My scooter is £45 for the month, so like £1.50 a day. £1 of petrol gets me through the week. I eat out in restaurants/warungs everyday and it you can eat out for less than £5. If I wanna splash out and eat loads of food I end up spending about a tenner on food. But as with any holiday/travelling it's as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be.

I personally wouldn't recommend this flight though, stops in ZRH. Spending even one day in Switzerland will kill any saving from this cheaper flight. Better alternatives.
