As my flights are already booked and paid for which i return on the 29th dec,can i get this deal, how can i if the flights are already booked, does this mean i would need to change my flights and pay extra,or cause i had this they would work around it,im not sure what this deal means to me who has already booked flights as would be good if i could get this added to my flights going and coming back maybe, for $1,can someone give me some details on this as confused as to what you can do with this.

I also booked my flights back in June without the stopover Hotel. I don't think you can change your flight times so the deal is only good if you have ample time to make use of an over night stay in Singapore. I added this offer to my booking today without any amendmant fees.

If you log into your booking using your reference number, just go to the Stopover page and you can add this deal to your booking. Make sure you choose "Singapore Stopover Holiday (Hotels + Transfers + Attractions)" as this is what is on offer for £1 per person.

yes i have ample time,I land in Singapore around 5pm and leave around 1pm the next day. These are the flight times i booked back in June. Therefore, i didn't change my flights to get this offer.

Could you book flights now and take advantage of this?where can you fly?

Brilliant place for a stopover. Singapore Airport is amazing, full of orchids and koi carp pools. Singapore feels much safer than the UK, and there is no litter or graffiti. On return to the UK it was quite a culture shock to see how scruffy the UK has become.

Yes you can book flights now and book the £1 stopover deal as long as you travel between now and 31st March 2010....

I've used these deals before and the hotels are excellent!

Does this only count if you're booked on a through fare with Singapore?

Say....if i was going to Singapore and then flying onwards the next day with another airline...could you still use this for the 1 night hotel?

Never went to Little India then! It's still a nice place, mind.

Don't fully understand how to take best advantage of this offer (dumb me), but it sounds great, heat and rep added, how long would I need to stay in Singapore to enjoy all the free passes that are included?

These flights were an anniversary special back in June.

I managed to book 2 returns to Christchurch NZ for £371.90p each and then added a Singapore stopover on the return leg for a £1.00 each.

Amazing deal sadly long gone.

The stopover deal includes transers, some attraction passes, bus passes and half price food in your chosen hotel.

That was a fantastic deal, I do hope that you are flying at least one sector on the A380 such a fantastic place we flew last November with SIA and singapore is fantastic but need more than one night.

The £1 deal is very good, we didn't have that option so stayed at Naumi

Sadly this only works if you book a room for 2 or more people travelling on the same flight booking.
I'm travelling to NZ alone next March and tried to book the £1 deal for a single room but it's coming up £23 for a single, £2 for a double or £3 for a triple.
This is the message I get when I try to book a double room:
"Number of rooms and room type requested exceeds the passenger count. Please modify the room count or room type according to the passenger count and try again. "

I noticed that when booking, seems a little unfair on the single traveller.

However £23 is still a great price for a Singapore hotel.

Nice!

I have taken advantage of the Singapore stopover before and it's a great deal

All the hotels are good and if you go for the top rated ones then it's still a good deal compared to what you would usually pay. Splash out on some luxury.

The free vouchers, tour bus and transfers are also excellent. We used the majority of the deals and saved a small fortune.

You dont need to book it at the same time as the flights. You can call them up and they will do it.
However you will have to book a stopover itself already. You cant go back and change your dates without incurring more charges.

2/3 nights in Singapore is enough. You can see most things in the city and it breaks up the Oz/Nz flights nicely.

One thing i would say is that the prices have increased a bit if you stay for 3 or more nights.
So maybe google and see what you can get but then you will miss out on the freebies.

Does anybody know if (a) this can be done each way.. and (b) if the $1 hotels will be worth staying in?

Hot from me, last time I paid £50 odds for 6 hours in their transit hotel.

Wish this last up till June 2010

Not so sure about this deal! For example, I've booked with Singapore Airlines for a flight in November. Total price I paid for two was £ 1,050. If I would book the same flight today, the price is over £ 1.400. A stay for two nights in a decent hotel plus transfers in Singapore wouldn't cost me £ 350.

puzzled. I tried to book a flight in january for Manchester-Beijing and its giving me a quote of £840. Normally its around 400 quid with Lufthansa/KLM
any idea how can I take advantage of this offer? Thanks

Manchester - Singapore is direct non-stop and pretty popular, so you probably wouldn't use this flight to go to Bejing.......go Emirates, Luftahansa, KLM or Air France.

So could I book a flight to singapore, stay there, then fly back here?
Or do you have to go on to somewhere else?

I believe the offer is just on for a stopover

Heat added, we are flying to KK next March got a really good deal on flights when they had their sale a couple of months ago. In order to get the best price we had to have a 14 hour stopover in Singapore. Now we have a bed for £2 including the transfers. Amazing deal when you consider I was quoted £74 for a 12 hour slot in the transit hotel. Shame we are not stopping longer to enjoy all the sights of the city!!!

Changi (Singapore) Airport is the best I've ever ever been in. I was actually sad to leave to board my flight. We were only there for a few hours, but WOW, what an airport.

Where else can you watch live premiership football with a live cabaret whilst waiting for your flight? Amazing. BAA can get stuffed.

this always (used to be) an every year bargain with SQ airlines.
Malaysian airlines also have (well used to anyway!) an offer where as long as you travel beyond mayasia your where entitled to a free internal flight in malaysia as long as you paid for the hotels with them.
this used to be the case about 9 years ago when i worked as a travel agent.
hopefully sq will soon release the dates for 1 apr 10 onwards- as that's when i'm travelling!!!
