Seems like a good price for a reputable company sewing machine.

Just reserved one for the missus as she's been wanting one for some time, plus got given £30 vouchers from work a while ago to use. Has quite a lot of good customer reviews.

Lovely gift for a beginner, basic. Does the running stitch.

I bought a new Brother FS-40 machine from Homebase a few weeks ago. With adding the discounts paid £150. Mine is computerised machine for embroidery. I do a lot of crafts including patchwork.

Your wife will be pleased, Singer is a good name.

Hi julie_d,
The brother you bought looks like a good buy. Can I ask how you got it for £150?
Many thanks x

Hello yellow. Yes, it is a lovely machine and easy to use.I recomend it.

Brother FS-40 sewing machine £179.99 & £4 p&p

At the time a few weeks ago = used code DISCOUNT15 for 15% off (it was a buy in the weekend deal)
£179.99 + £4 p&p = £183.99
- 15% discount code used = £156.39
Quidco gave me £ 6.30 so machine cost £150.09

Hopefully! you will find a discount code. Good luck

Not sure of the spec, but they had some for under £100 in B&M too.

I've an unused £5 online code that runs out tonight, if anyone wants it?
Came in EMail, with a recent £80 online purchase
Not sure if the code is personal?
PM, if interested.

Thanks for that. Hopefully a code will come up whilst it's £179.99. I'm looking to upgrade my basic Singer I bought from Lidl a couple of years ago and this looks ideal.

hi poppydog can you please tell me which shop the online code us for? Thanks

I've always used brother or singer machines in the past, but i recently bought "elna". was pleasantly surprised how good the quality is, and it's not lightweight plastic, it seems very well made, got more for the money compared to brother or singer machines. I spent about £200, but here's a cheaper one:

its £99 plus below is a 5% off code

how is this for an intermediate/advanced user?
my mum has used many of the heavy cast iron industrial ones that come attached with a table lol.
shes looking for a smaller one and this looks like a great price.

Ive actually got one of these, i paid a similar price so i think im well positioned to give an honest appraisal.

Its sew sew!

X) does that mean its good?

picked one up over the weekend.
mum really happy with it, shes quite a skilled user.
only negative is that the prongs that hold up your thread are plastic and stick out the back of the machine, they can easily be snapped off if you clip it against the wall or if the machine falls over. poor design flaw i think, ive seen other machines where the prongs are telescopic and pop in and out of the body.
also got a £5 argos voucher with purchase

Hi Just seen this model in my local Singer Shop Southend £89 they have the 1507nt at same price £89
