that's exactly my point... there is NO WAY this would have cost £35 originally...well actually £54.49 is what the site claims but that's complete BS. LA Muscle isn't even that expensive!

£20 per KG is still a log. Those bars are 50p at best.

20 £ per kilo is a lot. The guy is right. These bars are 50p each.

Has anyone used the gels? Would you recommend?

Use code SPEND406080 for addition £5 (£40) £10 (£60) £20 (£80) off.

the last lot of stuff I had from them was all short dated, some had about 6 weeks and the rest was about 3 months.

And there is cheap gear and quality gear , of your serious about making improvements buy decent protein and reap the rewards.

That's definitely incorrect, although it depends on what you're trying to achieve with your body.

I've run Ultras and these have been the free gels at the aid stations and they didn't work for me

Seriously overpriced still. #Cold

I Have at Brighton last month - found them to be a lot better to use than High 5 or the highly rated Torq gels. Very easy to use and added bonus of not having to take with fluid. I would say take an extra one just to be sure

Code worked this morning as it came via topcashback.

42 gels for £21 or buy them from tesco/sports shops/just before a race and they cost upto £1.50 each - cheers Op, will do me for training for Robin Hood later this year

Can anyone recommend a good price for fish oil tablets?

For budget conscious marathon runners everywhere - jelly beans are the way to go. I use them on my long weekend runs and (half) marathons and they have never let me down.

You can pick up about 150g for £1 from most pound shops. That's fine for six long runs. They have pretty much no fat, about 100 calories per 25g serving and are about 80% sugar. About 3-5 miles into my run I start eating one bean every mile. Jelly babies are a good alternative if the beans are a bit too sticky for you, but I find the beans better as you can just shove them in your shorts pockets and they don't pick up fluff becasue of the smooth surface.

No, your right.
It's the money they put into research and the top scientists they have.
All the pro athletes use them but their individual sponsorship deals mean they use sis but in different bottles, sachets etc.

Totally agree with statto - jelly beans / jelly babies are very good rather than using gels.

Worth commenting that if you're going to use gels in a race, try them out beforehand. Often you will know which gels they're going to be giving out as they'll say or it'll be a sponsorship tie-in so you'll have a good idea. Some might not work for you and others can have erm..... unintended consequences in the toilet department! oO

My personal experience of the SiS gels is they don't work for me. Aldi Jelly Babies do work for me.

So knowing in advance is good on many levels.
