I've just seen this and I am thinking of getting it.

I download most of the films I watch and this would replace a DVD player with USB connection.

The question is ..Is it worth getting or am I setting myself up for problems.

I have looked at reviews and to be honest am not really much wiser.
Any comments much appreciated before I throw my cash at it

Looks like a good deal, it's very similar to the WDTV Live and it uses the same chipset (Sigma 8655). Worth a punt for half the price

this requires a wireless dongle

Teqnophile

this requires a wireless dongle

Only if you are doing wireless networking...

Not so sure why this is cold?

Well I have ordered, been looking for something to stream my photos to the big TV, H&R

Luckily I just got a spare D-link usb dongle from virgin so was thinking of using that .

I am on 50mb line so was thinking streaming might be what I would mainly be using it for.

I wouldn't bother with a wireless dongle, you'll have reliability issues. Use either a normal network cable or homeplug networking over mains.

Bought one to play with, already have a PCH C200 and a Revo 3610... we'll see how it compares!

BTW this is selling for £100 on sites like broadbandbuyer etc, definitely not cold unless there are well known issues (which I haven't been able to find with a quick Google)

I've been sold ..So stuck an order in . I'll try it wireless but drop in a cable if there are any problems.

My orders just changed to awaiting stock...

Price has just gone up to £101.90

That's from PlayTrade now, not Play themselves. Looks like I won't get this now

I'll be forced to vote cold on this myself if mine doesn't turn up

Lol, bad times.

Been looking at this one the last couple of days too... amazon.co.uk/Wes…1-1

remember these must support mkv for blu ray and dts or you wont get any sound. sunvision cyclone works well.
