will this work with windows 7? review on play says that it did not work with vista.

This wont work with XP64 Pro will it?

can this be used as a wireless dongle for sony tv?:)
heat added btw

This looks like an old model.

IMO, one to avoid unless you are running Windows 200/ME/XP and are never going to upgrade.

bought one. will make a fine internal USB adapter, since I have loads of internal USB ports and cables and etc and i like to hear myself talking every now and then

Although not officially supported, it works perfectly on Windows 98. It's not a joke!
I used drivers for another version and still have no problems. No idea on Vista/7, it's a gamble!

Well its working fine for me and has since windows 7 was launched. This dongle has performed faultlessly and is much more reliable than the 3 netgears my family have burnt out previous to me buying this one 2 years ago!

Got this delivered yesterday (sorry I didn't post)
Worked a treat out of the box on XP, review on states no support for vista.

The Sitecom WL-117 has certain drivers "]built-in" to the device (similar to many mobile-broadband USB dongles) i.e. plug it into a USB port and a virtual disk will be (should be?) accessible containing certain operating systems' drivers.
The device uses the Zydas ZD1211 chipset (possibly later rebranded to Atheros AR5007UG). Other manufacturers offer devices using the ZD1211 chipset that work fine with certain flavours of Vista so I imagine any driver issues relating to this item and Vista could be resolved by a litle googling, maybe even using drivers for other manufacturers' products using the same chipset (although not necessarily other manufacturers' associated utility software).

Great price for such a device with maximum value for XP users, or those confident and competent in playing with drivers for other operating systems.
