Attractive watches, but no I mustn't! I love watches but recently had my trusty 45 year old Rado serviced so although hot, I'm not biting this deal!

Nice watches, but these particular ones as slim as a normal Skagen watch. Still a great price though! Heat.

The metal strap clasp will not fasten as securely over time if like me you take your watch on/ off on a daily basis. I'd personally go with the leather strap one.

I've worn one for a couple of years with no issues (on and off daily) so YMMV.

Agreed. Very attractive slim watches.

I just changed the battery on a Skagen watch this evening. Fantastic looking watch from the outside. Very average looking movement on the inside. Has a cheap looking plastic frame surrounding the Japanese (?) movement. To be fair, most watches under £200 are probably like this.

Also, having changed the battery, I discovered that the movement is actually stuck/broken. It looks like the day/date mechanism has gone wrong, which causes the watch hands to stop around 4 AM. In my efforts to free things up, the crown has now come off.

I can't say that I've had any problems at all with the Skagen watches i've bought. I have 3 of them.

Mind you I haven't purchased one recently. The last one I got must have been at least 1.5 - 2 years ago.
All three of the watches I have, have leather straps and they're still going on strong.

It's a shame to hear the bad reviews on them now as I have seen another two that I really like.

Indeed they were great watches, but beware of the mesh stainless steel wrist piece as if you wear fine garments, they will become snagged! I've ruined several blouses and scarves before I realised what was causing it! I tried to take mine back to Samuels where I got mine from, but they said technically there was nothing wrong with the watch and they would have warned about the mesh bracelet etc...
They are a great thin watch and that's what appeals to some folk. Great deals on other styles too. Just enter watches in search field, low to high price etc.

I had the first battery replaced by a Jeweller. When the second watch needed the battery replaced I did it myself. I was gobsmacked to see how cheap these are inside. A cheap Japanese Quartz that would sit well in a £10.00 watch. Overpriced, never again!

Not had a Skagen or know much about them but that did surprise me (as have the above tales) with them being so thin. What were the signs you looked for?
