I didnt forget, I just wanted to hear of loads of fat kids getting grazed knees and running home weeping with two pieces of skateboard, that kind of thing amuses me

I got one from asda in gateshead metrocentre, but Boldons asda were still £6 each.

Cheep as chips!!!

Haha, that made me laugh too much

This is as close to fire wood with wheels as you are gonna get. I wouldn't recommend any1 buying a skateboard for £3, it'll be dangerous and an accident waiting to happen.

But if you want your kids to hurt themselves and be put off by skateboarding for ever - then this is a good buy.

yeah and a £100 quid skateboard is perfectly safe...

For £3 you can't go wrong, if your kids have never done it before then they can try it out. If they like it then progress to a better board. Quite how anyone can say that because is £3 it is dangerous is beyond me...

My parents use my old skateboard for moving stuff around the garden. This is cheaper than other similar devices.

My son bought himself one yesterday must say I was suprised that the trucks are made of plastic can't see it lasting too long but it will keep him happy over the easter break.

I also bought one for my eight year old and I wouldn't want him to get hurt...I think it is a good buy if it only lasts over Easter it is cheaper than a football which keeps getting taken by grumpy neighbours if it goes into their garden!!!! It isn't the best of quality but for £3.

Great for 3 quid, good intro to get the kids used to a board for a bit of basic skating. Really dont fancy pumping the bowl of a empty swimming pool with this.

You wont get Hurt if you wear a helmet and Pads for Knees & Elbows. (Common sense) as I said great to skate about, Use a better board if you want to kick flip or mess arounf on a half pipe.

Have fun kiddies Heaven is a pipe

A professionally made skateboard that can hold high weights and remain stable at speed and with collision is indeed safer than a 3 quid alternative from Asda, yes.

And the Nobel Intelligence Award goes to...

just the job for my 8 year old sons birthday next month - cheers

Some of you need to stop wrapping your kids up in cotton wool. Hot as £3 is a bargain.

I bought 1 of these two weeks ago for my daughter for £6, it is a bit chipped round the edges already so obviously not very hard wearing as she cant even skate properly, she just sits on it and pushes it around , but for the price of it i didnt really expect much more.
Has kept her amused all the same so was worth £6.

Would you buy a car with plastic axels? Point in case.

If you have ever bitten tarmac because a bearing has seized up / your kingpin has snapped when going at speed you will understand why it can be dangerous. I think maybe some people don't appreciate how fast kids can ride on skateboards.

STAY AWAY FROM THOSE SKATES! im a skater and longboarder and i know what i say. sorry for trolling.

Haha

Broke both my wrists last time I was on a skateboard!!!!! I can't skate & I was going off a 12 ft half pipe!!!!!

I bought my 9 yr old nephew one yesterday, should have seen his mams face, you'd think I bought him a ride on lawnmower! When I was a kid we used to tie skateboards to the back of bmx's & whizz up & down the road & sit on them & fly down the hill. People are too protective of their kids these days, I'm glad I was a kid in the 80's otherwise I wouldn't be looking back on my childhood with fondness. Best days of my life, let kids be kids!

lets get real people if you re a pro skateboarder or want to do loads of stuff on one then clearly you are not going to buy this, however for kids who just want to mess about on one its quite suitable, most kids will use it for a few days and get bored so a bargain.

Voted hot!

I only wanted to help you Ro-Land !

For £3 no one is expecting quality but if they use it for a couple of weeks and don't get bored with it, then you could get them a £100 one instead of paying £100 for it not to get used.

hilarious!!!!

Let's face it anyone with any clue about how to do any tricks and is a regular at the local skatepark wouldn't be seen dead on anything like this.

It would purely be used by novices that probably wouldn't be doing anything adventurous or at speed so a set of pads and a helmet would see them safe as houses.

Can#t go wrong at £3, even if it is crap so voted hot

This person is an idiot.

I used to be a proffessional skateboarder and the point of the advert showing the weight restriction is because they are for kids and don't need to support high weights...

Also, remaining stable at speed? the point of these boards is that the bearings are so bad, that they dont go "at speed" which is clearly safer than a board that can "remain stable" even if the kid doesnt know how to ride...
