Does anyone know if this is any good.
I need to buy a drill and am absolutely useless at DIY and wouldn't have a clue. Any help would be fantastic.

Depends on your needs, 18v might be too heavy if you're doing average work around the house but ideal for the heavy work.

Skil are a good brand and this has long lasting 2Ah batteries

Looks an excellent spec, the 2Ah batteries are a good rating.

Skil are a Bosch Group brand. These days with the way that brands are pitched and manufacturing is outsourced to China it's very hard to tell whether it will actually be any good. I would expect though that it would do very well for moderate DIY use at the least.
