· Visual and voice-guided navigation
· 2.5D birds eye view graphics
· Day and night display modes
· iPod music playback during navigation
· Automatic continuation of navigation after incoming calls

· Take me home function
· Dynamic map updates at no extra cost
· User-editable maps of UK and Ireland (OpenStreetMap data)
· Bookmarks for favourite destinations

Probably better than any other app you can buy for the price but the reviews don't look too good on the app store. I'd personally plump for N-Drive at a few quid more which has brilliant reviews.

Just downloaded and used his app. You cant argue for the price, it more than does the job.... Thanks Andy

It does look a bit basic. I can't believe there's a UK/Ireland satnav for £1.19 and I'm slagging it off! Unbelievable you can buy something like this for the price of a coke.

Granted it is no tomtom or copilot but for the price youcsnt go wrong. It may nit look pretty but as long as you get from a to b that is all that matters!

Can't disagree Mr Tiger.

Maybe because this is a bit restricted. I believe it will only work on the Iphone 3GS. Ipod touch and Iphone 1st, 2nd and not sure about 3G users will need a GPS adapter for this which cost quite a lot.

Nevertheless heat added

Could the sudden drop in prices of sat nav apps be linked to the release of google sat nav for free?

3G has GPS, touch and 2G don't. Can't see why it wouldn't work on 3G

I have a Nokia 5230 with Ovi Maps, this is a fully fledged sat nav app (traffic info, speed cameras, lane navigation) for free. Google also have a decent sat nav for free as well on the Android platform. So whilst £1.19 is a great price for a Sat Nav, free is even better. Sadly no free Sat Nav for the iphone platform as of yet as far as I'm aware.

I just got a 5230, took a while to get the maps onto the phone but think it's spot on.

Good deal, but bare in mind that this downloads its maps on the fly, so you will need a data connection whilst using it. NDrive et al store all the maps on the phone.

Its got some terrible reviews on Itunes.

However people seem to be comparing it to a £50 Tomtom I decided to give it a go, even if i only need it for an emergency. when I am really lost :P

Anybody used it before?

If £1.19 is too expensive for a sat nav, how about NaviCat for 59p? It uses Google Maps.

In April Ordinance Survey released all their street map data for free to download, so now anyone in the world can make a GPS app with full British street map data. This is why there is a huge explosion of really cheap apps.

Have to say this app is work in progress, its hit and miss finding my house with postcode

Just wanted to give a heads up as this App appears to be free now - spotted it in the Top 10 free apps.

I got it when it was free. I tried it about 5 minutes from my house to see how it navigated me home. It didn't. I put in my post code and it sent me past my house and and suggested I go another 4 miles away. Deleted straight away.
