Get the Fabia Reaction for £8995 from your local Skoda Dealer.

The link above is to Skoda website which lists it at £9690 but most Skoda dealers are selling these off for £8995 with one good deal in particular at DM Keith:

Pay half now and half in 2 years 0% finance.

mervynstewart.com/use…95/

marlborough.uk.com/Use…spx

underwoodsmotorgroup.com/use…ia/

trustgroupuk.com/sko…els

There is only 700 of these and the spec includes:
Specification and equipment (in addition to standard S trim):
Black rear spoiler
Black radiator grille surrounds and door mirrors
Dark-tinted headlights and front foglights
Small leather pack with three-spoke leather steering wheel
16-inch ‘Comet’ black alloy wheels
SE dashboard
Height-adjustable driver’s seat
Sunset glass
Floor mats

Better than the Clio deal posted earlier in my opinion as it is higher spec and cheaper. The 1.2 whilst only a 12 valve means it is a 3 cyclinder and more free revving and nippy than the 1.2 in the clio (from personal experience).

yeah, confirmed, good deal, going to a dealer on Monday to have a look. have some heat

Glad to have helped someone. It's only in meteor grey by the way which may not to be everyone's taste but I think it looks great

Had a similar 1.2 fabia on hire once, I must admit they are pretty nippy. Quite nice looking (not as nice as the mk1 fabia IMO), quiet nice interior and gear change, solid handling, and good use of space, decent audio, reasonable economy. Cant really fault them, but a diesel would be my preference.

Ah, good old Shiny Primer

Really hideous styling but I'm sure a decent car.

cold - i could buy a bike for that!!

Sodas have really come of age

I really like the shiny primer it looks much better in the flesh.
My mates ordered an octavia vrs in this colour too. It's the new race blue

Decent quality run around for the price. heat from me

A good car, but truly horrible looking. It should have an age sensor on the door handle, so you can't get in unless you're an OAP.

I prefer the Eastern European more reliable Lada! My mates dad used to have a Lada estate! Oh, those were the days!!

So, how many mates have ordered this car - to share?

I'm sure this is a great deal but can't help saying it has the look of the old East German Trabant

Looks more like it should have a door sensor that only allows chavs in.

Ghastly colour scheme, no wonder they are struggling to sell them.

The colour scheme is fine, dont really see whats so chavvy about it. Not that the colour of a car should matter anyway, the fact your lucky enough to afford a quality car when billions in the world cant is what matters. In the flesh these look pretty nice, although yes I think VW deliberately made them look slightly worse than the polo and ibiza this time round. The Mk1 fabia in VRS form is far more lauded after than the Polo GTi and Ibiza Cupra of the same era.

Unrelated to this deal but what is up with the skoda roomster, don't think i ever seen a worse looking car, how on earth did it ever get beyond just a concept drawing.

the roomster looks like some with a squint has designed it.

Its the Eastern European styling showing through. Looks good in Slovakia.

Nissan Puke (Duke) is at least as bad I think but agree the Roomster looks completely wrong. It's like 2 designers worked on it, one on the front of it and another on the back and then they welded the two bits together. It seems to break all the design rules (not in a good way). Worst of all is those large rear side windows means whoever is a passenger is fully exposed for everyone to see. It looks like a hearse for midget coffins.

Slovakia is one of the main countries making Hyundai cars. This is a case of pick an eastern european country at random and use it as an example your prejudice.

come on. The pinarrello team sky replica with dura ace Di2 gearing is £10k in my local. So would have to add some money to it!

But are hyundai designed in Slovakia?
Ive been to Prague and the eastern European soviet block architecture art culture etc is everywhere.
I was just making the point these cars look different because they are designed in a place which has aesthetics to us
I own a seat mii , which is built in the bratislava and am happy with it

The Skoda Roomster was designed by Germans automobile.wikia.com/wik…ath who is German, and also Peter Wouda > youtube.com/wat…FAE

Therefore the Roomster is a German design.

Prejudice is based from presumption/assumption, your opinion was clouded based on your assumptions. I'm in no way saying you're bad or you're racist, I'm saying the facts speak the truth and everything else is just background noise.

Anyway skodas are well built and slovakia has a reputation for engineering excellence, but the fact remains skodas dont look good, if they can fix that then they would sell a load more, they look boxy, there i said it

Yes you're correct Slovakia also has UMC which makes televisions for example under licence, my ex is Slovakian and works for Kia. Recent Skodas are loved by honestjohn for example, there are some horrendous designs out there, but it's just the physical shell, the internal design is usually fantastic on these cars in terms of function and practicability. I think designers are trying to be different and sometimes the designs that work the best don't always have physical beauty. The Ford Scorpio was a true example an ugly car without great function whereas the Fiat Multipla MK1 was ugly but had great function.

Own a Fabia Monte Carlo Tech Black Edition which I got new for just less than £12,000 with sat nav, bluetooth and 17" black alloy wheels and it's brilliant....and looks good too! Tell me where you can get this kind of value for the same price?! Get some admiring looks from people about mine.....so nothing to be ashamed about.

This Reaction is a good spec for the price but the engine's a little weedy.

I was under the impression that Skodas were simply a rehash of a lot of VW mechanicals?

VW is hardly the pinnacle of engineering as far as reliability is concerned but to be objective, the Skoda factory appears to put that Germanic hardware together in a statistically more reliable package for some reason...;)

That's a far far more complex issue, but in essence I totally disagree with you there I'm afraid.

If it was a 1.6 I'd be interested!

I bought a Fabia Reaction in December.

The Skoda designed 1.2 HTP is much better than its 69ps output would suggest, it loves to rev and the little three pot sounds great. The engine is a tough as old boots and has the plus of having a chain driven cam.

Admittedly if it was to be used for long journeys I would be looking elsewhere but then again I wouldn't be looking at the type of car for that task anyway.

Not sure why people don't like this car probably the same people that drive bland boring vauxhalls.Friend has this in the monte carlo spec and it's a decent well made car far better then any Ford or vauxhalls at the same price.Engines a bit gutless but what do you expect. If I needed a second car I'd certainly be interested.

Skoda are also offering the SE 1.2 69PS for £8995 and the Estate SE 1.2 86PS TSI for £9995 here:-
skoda.co.uk/mod…fer
The TSI is much the better engine and for those wanting the extra space the estate is very good value. Last year I went for the SE 69PS deal. It is very well equipped and I cannot fault it.
BTW both these cars are in Silver or Denim Blue Metallic only.

Vauxhalls look ten times better than this monstrosity. As for being well made I think Ford's have it beat nowadays. Skoda's do seem to be the best in reliability from the volkswagon stable probably due to being a budget offering with simplified electrics etc. Some of the Volkswagon cars are just too complicated for their own good and electrical problems are problems that are hard to get rid off sometimes.

No question Skoda are excellent cars though its just some look like they have been near battered to death with the ugly stick.

Skoda electrics are vw electrics

My octavia is identical to a mk 6 golf. Sat nav, parking system, climate, windows, gearbox, engine, chassis etc etc, all the same.

Vauxhalls look better yeah maybe on every chav council estate. Most vile bland looking cars on the market..
Would rather have the soda or Ford over a cheap tacky vauxhalls any day.
