LOL

Is this has the same engine as the Seat Ibiza Cupra 180HP 1.4 Turbo & Supercharger.

If so, you might want to research problems with oil consumption on that engine, over 1 litre Fully Synthetic every 500 miles.

Except that in reality it's a better priced VW.

What car you've got?
Let me guess? Vauxhall?

no its probably the bus.

Doesn't have same issues. That was the cave engine. They've all been superceded with the cthe engine. Had one for a year now with the revised engine with no issues.

180bhp from a turbo and supercharged engine so the power is on tap. With the 7 speed dsg it's so responsive and quick.

Few grand less than the a1, ibiza and polo. It's a no brainer.

This is how much I paid for mine without the options I spec'd last January so this is a cracking deal as the prices have gone up.

I love it, just wish I drove it more often as it's the other halfs car.

As expected it's cold in here but just sums up the people in here. Obviously all driving second hand 5 series bmws filling up poundlands car park.

Wow how did you know?

Because you can get a second hand 5 series with no warranty for this price so why would you buy this? Can spend what you save at poundland then. That's what this site is all about

mjccam

Wow how did you know?

they have to shop in pound land since they blew all their money on the 5 series!

Well said

Wow i didn't think there were still clueless idiots that still think Skoda are crap. They must still be living in the 80's.

No ....Ford Pop as per picture, Alfa Romeo Spider V6 and a reps BMW 3 series. The bus is for the people who have nothing better to do than sit on here all day long and then use it to collect their Income support........O and insult people who have an opinion

I don't understand the negative comments my wife has had the new Fabia 1.4 vrs for 2 years now and has never had any problems with it, the car is stupidly fast and holds the road as well as most other sports cars I have driven. This is a great car at a great price, yes it has a skoda badge but lift the bonnet and all your see is vw parts. Not a deal for snobs who would prefer to spend another £40k on a non skoda badge. Heat added

What you'll find is that when you ring CarFile tho they'll tell you about the £400 increase in Skoda prices across the range (which is true) and bump this price up £400. The better price is actually to be found at orangewheels (although not by much) as their prices are guaranteed. I have just last week ordered a Fabia Monte Carlo so am speaking from recent experience. CarFile are legit just haven't got around to updating their website prices...

Who talk about your opinion? The fact that you put a car down just because it's not a brand you prefer, that's the problem...

@Alex, if you actually read any of the comments you would see that this has been resolved with a new engine, a revised one, one with more power than the old one too.

I know, I have one.

CAVE seems to be the old engine and CTHE is the new engine.

A few of the Comments:

* Sept 2012 CTHE 62 plate - Engine replaced at 6759 miles, now on 9265.

* 2013 63 plate CTHE (engine built in Oct 2012 I think). Engine replaced at 6200 miles in September this year as it was using 1L oil per 1000 miles

* Took delivery of new car in July 2012 and have 1st engine replacement in December the same year (over xmas and new year) and took over 3 weeks for job completion

Just highlighting the possible issues for others, who can research for themselves via google if they are considering this car.
