So disappointed in this deal, where are the following comments:-

do i get my deposit back?

can i keep the car at the end?

does this include insurance, fuel and monthly magic tree replenishments?

wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a 12 year old BMW?

thank you all

Such a fast taxi!

Such a fast taxi!

Cheaper at NVS albeit with a £2400 deposit

My brother has this car, paid about the same on a lease. Very nice car. It's a Volkswagen really.

Got to have it....just for the......

'Umbrella under front passenger seat'

Anyone know the penalty for changing a 36 month lease to 24 months mid contract. Will they just increase my monthly payments? I want this car

36 months seems disproportionately more.

You don't say!

Does that mean you have to wear a hoody over your baseball cap and put the front number plate on top of the dash?

I've had three Golf's so far and er I sometimes wear hoody's but never a baseball cap. Should I start do you think? Maybe blast some Beasty Boy's out the stereo?

Sounds like you're getting a bit old for VW - skip the mid life BM and go straight to a Skoda?

What a fantastic deal.

Good deal but I think they've ruined the look of the car with those headlights. It looks odd to say the least, which is a shame, for me.

nice car, good deal, I drive a Merc but bought the missus a Skoda - best customer service bar none, nice cars to drive and easy to own

I have another car a Mitsubishi FTO which takes care of that job admirably, so no Skoda required.

Daughter's Citigo has one of those too!

It's the milage I would struggle with, I have had my octavia for 10 months already done 17000 miles. I have the 1.6 diesel and can easily achieve 70mpg32333975-dv4Ue.jpg

Anyone know what the basic requirement is for a lease, in terms of credit score. Had to open 2 new bank accounts and my credit dropped from 700 something to 480 atm. Got a pretty good income, so that’s not a issue. Don’t want to apply and get denied as it will
Impact me further. Lol. searched online, shows around 650 + mark or good/excellent is required.
Everything else is in check, monthly payments no misses or anything.

I’d consider mine to be pretty naff after getting declined recently for a new 0% balance card

however I do have a mortgage

anyway the lease flew through and was accepted in an hour

Normally there’ll just be an early termination clause that you pay half rental for the remaining months of the contract. So £113.45 x12 if you wanted to terminate at 24 months.

I have never heard of this ever, in every lease car I have ever had if you terminate its full payment + recovery costs + admin fee. With PCP you can often terminate mid term (cost free/limited cost) but PCH I have never heard of anything other than full term costs + any expenses the lease company want to add. Either way, check the small print.

The question was about changing the duration of lease mid-term, this is not something you can do.

Amazing deal. Sadly not in the market else would have given this serious consideration.

If you terminate with VWFS which covers all of the VAG group I believe, you pay 55% of the outstanding balance. There is no other fees.

I doubt it. You've posted a short run average rather than from inception/last fuel. Mid-60s, maybe.

My current Audi is with VWFS and its full payment with cancellation - do you mean PCP or PCH, or both? cheers

Interesting, as this is exactly what’s determined in my current lease (PCH). It is with Arval so possibly dependant on supplier.

Yeah, I looked at that, saw the average speed and concluded that's a downhill run mid-section. I have a 1.6 Diesel Golf (same engine, smaller car) and you can get close to 70mpg if you stick on cruise control at 55-60mph but normal motorway speeds see more like 55mpg (i.e. a steady 80-85mph)

PCH, just ended my Golf R.

What happens when some twonk comes and dings your door?

Nah, forget it. I'd rather use half of the money for an iPhone X on three.

You either fix it yourself and hope they don't notice. Or pay an unspecified penalty at the end of the contract. I've only done a lease contract once but mainly because of this issue I wont do it again. Not enough uncertainty over what you might pay at the end.
