I'd rather have a 2nd hand Audi..............

.............i'm not trolling , I just think the plastic in the Skodas is a bit cheap and nasty. I'd rather get 2nd hand and have quality.

Those pictures are for the old model, new model alot better

Great deal as long as your not trying to impress the neighbours

£16000 Skoda or £25000 Golf? There's a hell of a lot of things I'd rather have more than an Volkswagen badge on my car.

Great car for people with an inferiority complex....you can try and justify your purchase to every one you meet.

I see by your avatar that you are probably an iPhone owner. Which would suggest's to me that you like quality and style and are prepared to spend a little more to achieve that

So why would you buy a skoda! oO

Just because I own and use Apple products daily does not mean I am blind to a good value deal. I buy and use apple computers and phones because they cost me less and I prefer the OS's, I buy and change regularly and you don't loose much money with Apple gear. Anyway that's well off topic. I drive a VW golf, but I can see that this is an amazing car for this price, hence why it's a hot deal.

Would I buy a Skoda? Hell yes I would, yes I would prefer a Scirocco or Golf GTi, but whether I would spend £9k more on one is another matter. My car's only 18m old so not changing for a while. You don't just post deals for things you are buying or have bought, you post what you think is a Hot UK Deal.

My bad then, I just thought you had this car. Glad to see you have a Volkswagen :).

Great car for people who actually want to enjoy driving a car, and aren't insecure about the size of their manhood.

I hate the ugly badge on them but they are good cars.

There's a reason why most private cabs round here are Skodas.

Just grow up and get a car

Thanks for your pointless post which adds nothing to this thread (_;)

Hey everybody, learoy69 has a £28k car.

I don't drive nor do I know much about cars. But this site is about hot deals and approximately 19% off plus 0% finance surely makes this a good deal? Hot from me.

Great Car at a Great Price.

Not the most economical and Road Tax is £245 on the FSi, and 18" Tyres are not cheap for a decent set of a known brand. But you don't buy a FSI vRS for fuel economy.

Surely a great car for people without an inferiority complex?

Errgh, what useful have yours contributed?

I like the sound of the deal but I can't get the 0% finance, is there a seperate section you need to go to or did you ring up for it?

You're right there- all the Skoda drivers round here are 70+ and drive accordingly. I'm sure they do still enjoy driving a car (in their own wayward fashion) and have long given up worrying about the size of their manhood.

PS: why do you worry so much about other guys' manhoods?

When you buy, DTD put you in touch with the Skoda Dealer they have negotiated the price with, all payment is made direct to the Skoda dealership. The 50% deposit 0% finance is being offered by Skoda UK.

Merely the fact that you buy Apple products confirms that you wouldnt know a good deal even if it came up and kicked you in the conkers!(_;)

I tried golf once...couldn't get the hang of it at all.

Thank you and good night folks.

Apple are world renowned for innovative quality products so I would expect the op to be perfectly capable of finding a good deal. He already stated he doesn't own a skoda and infact owns a Volkswagen.

No quidco?

It's a ridiculous amount of money for a car. At least make an effort to save some money and buy it second hand. Never again will I buy new. It's for suckers.

The German automobile TV show Auto, Motor und Sport compared the Škoda Octavia with its cousin, the Volkswagen Golf Mk5, and concluded that the Škoda Octavia was slightly better than the Volkswagen Golf owing to a little more interior space and other specific ergonomics, better build quality, better driveability, and a lower price.

In their 2006 survey, the British automobile magazine and TV/radio show Top Gear placed the first-generation Octavia into 3rd place, and described it as a "masterpiece of dependability". The second generation was too new to be included in the survey.

The British automobile magazine Auto Express awarded to the second-generation Octavia the gold medal in their prestigious Driver Power top 100, stating that it is "the UK’s most satisfying car to own in 2007" and that it "has bettered every other car on sale in the UK".

Along with other Škodas, the Czech-built Octavia has been a markedly reliable vehicle – more so than the Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf, with which it shares platforms. In 2006, Warranty Direct, a UK-based provider of mechanical warranties for used cars, rated Škoda the top manufacturer (above Mazda and Honda), while Audi came seventh from bottom. The Octavia specifically had a reliability index of 32.74 (lower being more reliable), while the Golf produced over the same period was 87.28, and the Audi A3 99.43.

Love how a deal like this is a magnet for trolls.

would rather have a 2nd hand car, would rather a VW, Audi etc etc. Makes me laugh.

Me, i saved myself £12k over a Golf GTD and bought this in a diesel with the DSG. I know 2 people with a mk6 Golf and my dad has a Mk5 golf and the interior and exterior quality is identical (down the texture and pattern of the plastic against the mk6).

Also, i don't need to justify my purchase it as it turns heads and everyone i have met hasn't had a bad word to say which is more than could be said for a GTD which just looks like every other golf on the road.

I got mine from DtD and can vouch for the service i received.

PS i am also 41years away from being 70 too
