Not for me but a great deal. Should be hot.

You're right. Had skoda once. Hated it...

It's HUKD, not HDUK.

also... Skoda is a poor mans VW/Audi - so cold from me.

Hate these ever since some mad old woman smashed into the side of me in one, do they come with a free sick bag!! it's not a looker imagine waking up every morning and seeing that on the drive and thinking God why did I buy that!!!!

Not going to vote either way as the price is good for what you get.

I think somebody needs to get a life. And also to update himself on the latest satisfaction reviews from owners of the three brands mentioned, along with reliability ratings.

Not any more ...

Good deal for those after something like this but it's fugly.

I have had several of these as hire cars, and they are ok if you are on a tight budget and want a roomy family car. Even basic ones had a glass rood and reversing sensors. However, it has all the style of postman pats van, it’s not very quick, and feels like it is built to a tight budget with so so seats and plastics. Even if you are not into any sort of performance do not get the 1.2, as even on a slight hill you will be for ever changing gear, and you’ll have to think twice about overtaking a tractor. That said for just over £10K for the TSI, you get a lot of car for your money.
Personally I'd hate it to be my car but then I like my cars to look like something better than what a 5 year old can draw!! Still it’s a hot deal!!

come on, if you like 76 years old living in an bungalow - dream car....

It's a really odd looking car. I'm sure the people who did the front and back never met.

That said it is surprisingly good to drive and very practical. If you need transport and aren't fussed about style they are great.

doesnt the pope have one of these?.......HIDEOUS!..... good value though!

did you get porshe insted?

I've just got one of these on this offer. Def get the more powerful one, better fuel economy and a little more oomph.

Best size car for money that I could find, the boot is huge

Oh and yeah looks are a little odd, though I prefer funky.

Saving myself £3000 a year from my old XTrail, not to be sniffed at.

Ze goggles, zey do nothing!

Odd looking car. Fabia is better looking. Still well equipped and a bargain at the price.

Looks like a cut and shut without even hiding the fact.

the remind me the car homer Simpson designed with two separate sections of the car.

its a cut and shut

Ideal for my fish, they love to be driven around in their tank* and this should provide excellent views.

* For clarification: the fish tank is glass and not of millitary origins.

They've slashed the price because they're not selling.

Read into that what you want.

I dread to think what the residuals will be after a couple of years.

the looks would improve on this if road tax was free, lol. anyone know what it is?

Only the insane would buy this without the TSI engine. I have drove both as courtesy cars when my TDI Roomster was in for services and the TSI is a good little engine. The old 1.2 is slow and needs lots of revs to make good progress, which equals terrible mpg. Roomster is basically a van with windows if you remove the rear seats. And is sold as such in Czechoslovakia check out the space

Why do people insist on leaving unhelpful comments and their own egotistical opinions. Surely this car should be judged on its practicality and value for money and not it's looks.

And you know that how?

The more I look at it, the more I like it. Nothing would ever possess me to buy a new car, but if you're in the market for one pound for pound I doubt any car could deliver as much for so little.

But (ducks for cover) for half this money you could get such better value if you are willing to buy second hand. And yes I know if nobody bought new cars there wouldn't be as big a second hand market out there, and there's that reassurance of buying new that if something does go wrong mechanically you're covered but still there's no getting away from the fact that this will devalue significantly the minute you drive it out of the dealership.

Just my two pence.. remember i voted hot

It's the munsters car! Good if you don't mind looking like a window licker on the road.

When I was buying mine, a 12 month old model was around £11k, more than I paid. Servicing including parts and labour is £500 for 3 years. Of course I could save 50% buy a 3 year old mdel and probably nothing would go wrong, but if it did the costs mount up. I normally keep a car around 6/7 years so this suits me, 3 years worry free and next few years I know exactly what has been done to the car.

Oh to perspn saying sales down and Roomster sales were up 20% in 2011, latest VW accounts are available.

If I had an extra £6000 I'd go for the Octava Estate, but I wouldn't really be getting that much more of a car than the Roomster. Def look better though, but hey I can't see what it looks like when I'm driving

That's the best you can come up with?

Of course the reduction is nothing to do with the fact they are releasing a new model soon.
