how do these compare to ]these

Couldn't see the black ones and it looks like £9.99 is the regular price for play.com however reviews look excellent and if they are a true relection of these earphones it's a great deal. I've ordered some to find out.

Black: play.com/Ele…tml

Only 8.99 if you dont mind them in black either. Have some really good reviews on play. Good find

The sound quality of these are pretty good. I've bought 2 pairs of these in the states for $10 each; the 2nd pair after the first broke.

At £9 they are good value.

Black ones have gone up to £9.99

I got these for around a tenner at stansted and there absolutly cracking!!

Too big to fit in iphone but I modded them to fit into it

THESE ARE RUBBISH! I can't believe people recommend them, they don't even compare with the £1 earphones you buy in poundland let alone iPod earphones. The sound is not rich, has no bass and is very quite and it sounds as if all my 320kps mp3's were actually recordings i made on my phone, that's exactly what it sounds like. I was using the Sony MDRE818LP from Argos which was £7 and i would use the Sony MDR-KE30LWB (i used this mainly).

These are ear-canal earphones, aren't they? Are you sure they're properly in your ears, because from what you describe it could be any of the ear-canal earphones, not fully inserted into your ear.

i put on the little earbuds cause the others didn't fit in my ear. Am i supposed to push the earbuds all the way into my ears? Won't that damage my ears?

Yes. If you don't, they will sound tinny, flat and sort of echo-y.

Which in turn, may cause you to unfairly criticise them ;-)

There's something of a technique to it - with one of your hands, pull up on the top of your earlobe, then push the ear-canal earbud in, hold it there, then slowly release your earlobe whilst still holding the earbud in your ear for a while for it to settle in.

Nope, that's how they're intended to be used.

ok but that seems quite long, just to put in earphones and it improves a bit, but not as good as Sony.

Well I can't speak for these particular headphones, but for the Sennheiser CX300s and clones (Creative EP-630s) it does make a significant difference to the sound they produce ie actually putting them in your ears correctly. They should be firmly in your ear canal, not wobbling about, or easily dislodged.

As to whether it's something you'd find comparable with your faves, only you can answer.

I just think it's a tad unfair to so heavily slate them (I suspect the comparison with £1 earphones is particularly out of place) when it would appear you're not putting them in your ears correctly (ie how they should be worn - in the ear canal).

The smaller buds dont produce a nice sound with mine either.

You got to get the right size for your ear canal. And its not exactly a hassle to put them in! 1 second and mine are snugly in.... Pop in and wiggle and its air tight! I wouldnt touch 'out-ear' ones again!
