Tempted, waiting till friday just in case,or do i bag it niw and cancel if better comes along friday? Hmmm?

It's terribly slow just upgraded to sky fibre instead... Sky are advertising speeds up to 17 mbps for this ... What I actually had for the last 18 months was between 2-7 mbps at best... OK for basic browsing and extremely light usage

It depends on how close you are to your local exchange

I had the basic and was getting only 5mb - got offered unlimited fibre after getting Sky Q box - advertised at 34mb but never had more than 25mb - but was only £1 extra so no brainer.

A common predicament.

I was advised I would get minimum 35-40..but I think it's lower. Sky told me yesterday that the top speeds are achieved when connected directly to the router not wireless...

This has been me for the last 5 days with so many different deals. To be honest I’ve not been blown away with the pre Friday deals so far, plenty of duff deals out there

I'm looking at the BT deal personally. Currently with sky but no great offers as of yet. The BT broadband with tv and free rewards card looks the best out there

I've had to buy this too cheap to be missed plus its a 12 month contract, too many 18 months out there now. Becoming like mobile phones where the standard is 24 months. In saying that i'm sure they will raise their prices during this time which can trigger a mass exodus OR a better deal.

Yes I'm avoiding the 18 momnths deals because they know half way through the year there will be nothing to switch to. This time next year BF will be back.

Same. Purchased anyway. Topcashback only tracked at £70.

May be because they couldn't take over a line? Can't explain the tcb discrepancy though.

So that's clear then it's because you don't have an existing phone line they can take over

Ordered. 10 fee, 5 fee refunded on first direct debit. 70quid topcashback not 90. Will chase that up.

Cheers op.

Received £70 cash back

Why is it that whenever I try to buy this package I get a message saying to call them instead of the checkout??

Finally, they said: "There is no socket in the rack on your area" -Town in Kent. (I been with Sky many times and with BT now)
But... when I will take TV OR CALL THEM ...ALL will be fine.

AVOID. BIG SCAM!!!!!

17mb is the speeds i usually get on my supposedly "36mb fibre broadbad"...comes down to location at end of the day.

one questions ive always had:
all things being equal, if the line is provided by BT openreach and resold via plustnet, sky, vodafone etc... what is the speed dependant on:
1. your area and cabinet and local load etc....
2. the provider you pay for service e.g plustnet, sky, vodafone

wouldn't get this unless you have no other choice, speeds will be slow (3-5mb dl, 0.3-0.5 mb ul), but in the bigger picture is the speeds will annoy you even if its cheap doesnt mean its a deal , i have this and recently upgraded to sky fibre unltd they has an existing customer cashback for £6 p/m more, i would have gone virgin (if available in my area) as there dl and ul speeds much faster, and more reliable , and more value for money

Finally dumped these this year, prompted by their control of what I wanted to do.

Auto blocked from porn sites,
auto blocked from what they termed "anonymiser" sites,
start a torrent and your bandwidth is throttled to the point of 56k modem days.

We need more truly independent ISP's.

Now with BT and so far that stuff ^ hasn't happened.

I signed up to a similar deals back In August - 90pounds TCB tracked and just paid and speed pretty good!

32601578-jyqKk.jpgI'm on this package, test done while baby on YouTube on the iPad and streaming on the firestick with 2 mobiles on it. Never seen it drop below 3 and never above 8. Witch are poor results. Iv always wanted to upgrade but none of our devices ever buffer or slow
Got this a while back on the mse deal for 9 per month

so this is the thing, I got the letter today saying minimum guaranteed 6 to my house. That'll do us just fine for one streaming Nowtv at a time plus general use. I'm not going to complain at the price. Amazed that I've bagged 2 three mobile lines and home broadband with a line all for under 22 a month effective.

My broadband contract with sky is up in 2 weeks.

how would I go about getting this deal as an existing customer?

i got unlimited fibre from sky, only 14 mbps so rang them and was told i can cancel my contract because they cant for fill the contract, so looking for a better deal now

are you stuck with asdl line?

i think more asdl line providers have the same slow speed issue, if you come across a better company let us know

i have just started my cooling off period

Area and cabinet, but mainly the fact if they are still using the old wires from cabinet to your house which no doubt happens most till bt upgrade all cables.

I would hope my cables are pretty current this estate is around 5 years old my house is 3 years old. But I understand your point....

Been with sky for 3 years now and get 18/19 mbps. Service has been great. Better than bt or talktalk for me
