Until Thu 26 July, Sky newbies can apply via this Sky link* for this deal – it's a 12mth contract for unlimited broadband and line rental; with average speeds of 11Mb.

It's available to 90% of the UK. It depends on your postcode – you're told when applying (or use our new tool Broadband Unbundled). which only shows deals available in your postcode). though you can't get it if you've had Sky b'band, line or TV in the last 12mths.

Unlimited broadband and line rent's £20/mth for 12 months. It'll rise to £30/mth if you stay. No calls included – see Sky call costs (a touch more than BT).£9.95 set-up. There's also a £5 card verification fee, refunded on your first bill.Get a £50 prepaid Mastercard & £100 M&S voucherbut you MUST claim them. Annoyingly Sky won't remind you so diarise to use this Mastercard claim link within 90 days of the service being activated. It should arrive within 30 days. Enter your email address on the Broadband Genie page before signing up and you'll be sent your M&S voucher within 90 days of the service being activated. - Cost analysis: You'll pay £249.95 for the 12mth contract before calls or new line costs, equiv to £20.83/mth. But if you claim and use the Mastercard and M&S voucher it's £99.95, equivalent to £8.33/mth.

useful for some I suppose

For some (like me) standard broadband is the only option, no matter how much I hate it. Decent deal. Unfortunately I just joined talk talk.

MB/sec or Mb/sec which is it

I was just about to ask that, seeing as they're almost a factor different!
There was a NowTV ADSL deal the other day (same company) far cheaper than this went stone cold, how is this even like warm?
With sky broadband I couldn’t get half the advertise speed .
Leaving Sky was the best thing ! Now with Virgin.
Worst broadband ever had. Latest test show below 1mbs for download and upload.

Switched to sky once for 12 months as i got a good deal with movies ect... instantly regret it the same day worst 12 months ever couldnt stream anything at same time as other people in the house, catchup tv buffering, gaming lagging never again
Lowest deal available for 12 months:
£8.99 Line Rental (£10 discount)
FREE Broadband Unlimited (£11.01 discount)
£2 Sky Talk Anytime Extra (£2 offer applied for 36 months*) (£6 discount)
I got this deal on retention it may help others

18 months of slowness

No its a 12 month contract.
I've had the upto 17Mb through sky for nearly 2 years( slight gap inbetween ) now and its absolutely fine for me and im sure it must be for quite a few people otherwise they wouldnt keep on offering it.Whilst some need more speed for gaming ( which judging by most of the threads on here when mentioning either broadband deals or laptops/computers ) everybody seems to be into these days its not essential in all cases.Maybe faster is better for downloading but if like me your not interested why pay the extra. Different area means different results for the same product.Sadly most providers are doing 18 month contract these days. But i prefer not to be tied in to long so this 12 month deal is good for me.
Far to slow and trust me I’ve had it.i have fibre max yes your not going to get it for this price.but I wouldn’t touch this with a barge pole it’s far too slow.iif you cannot get fibre then that’s that.
Thank you to the original poster

To those saying its too slow, for some of us fibre is not an option as many parts of the country are not on the fibre network,
my only choices were standard broadband or virgin but as virgin are diabolical and couldn't even manage 1Mbs (even though they promised 100Mbs) then deals like this are my only option.

Misleading title. Doesn't tell the actual price. Picture shown(about the speed) is not the product described. It is the speed of fibre broadband. OP, please change the title and picture and mention it is ADSL broadband.
11mbs ?
luxury
i average out at 4 if I’m lucky but their app still claims I’m getting 11 so they claim I don’t have a case against them.
"Sky Broadband and Sky Broadband Unlimited in Sky Network Area: Average download speeds of 11Mbps. Average upload speeds of 0.8Mb. Existing customer set-up free for Sky Broadband 12GB and Unlimited. Monthly usage caps: Sky Broadband 12GB – 12GB."

So it's says Unlimited Broadband but then monthly useage caps of 12GB? Which one is it?

Don't confuse bandwidth with latency(ping)! I'm now on fttp 330Mb... However my ping (i.e. gaming) was better 8 years ago when I was on a 512k connection to a dedicated gaming ISP.
I had BT Infinity before and I felt they were overpriced, I also had a whole bunch of problems with them. Switched to regular broadband with Sky (which I have had in the past) and I don't notice the difference at all in speed and the service from Sky has been great.

This is more than sufficient for my needs but you don't hear me saying, 'I don't know why anybody needs 30Mb or more', because I don't know your needs. It isn't painstakingly slow for me. The deal I got was for £80 cashback and a £75 prepaid card so roughly the same.

Just wanted to share my experience as those who want to criticise are always the loudest so thought I would give some parity to the discussion.

I couldn’t find the link either so had a look on Money Saving Expert. They provide the link, the link/company that pays out the M&S voucher is trough Broadband Genie, not Sky.
Its 11mbps NOT 11mb/s!!! Massive difference. Sort it out.

Haha! Yep games take up virtually no bandwidth (I played them perfectly fine on my 56k modem)

A simple test is to open the CMD prompt and type "ping www.bbc.co.uk"

The lower the better. <20 is good. <10 very good.

LOL I put this offer in another thread about BT increasing prices.
But regarding this you HAVE to go thru the broadbandgenie link to get both the offers. If you sign up thru sky and then go back to the link you wont get anything extra.
If you have already started just cancel your ongoing order and then restart thru broadbandgenie link.
This offer is PANTS for me , luxury cotton ones from M+S
