I got an email from Sky saying the below, is it a good deal? I already have Sky TV but not their broadband or phone.

As a valued customer, we'd like to offer you 12 months free Sky Broadband Unlimited. plus £10 a month off Sky Line Rental for 12 months. Meaning you would pay just £7.40 a month for line rental (usually £17.40).

probably because the OP got the email, not everyone else

I got the same email but Iv just taken new broadband with someone else

I think it's a cracking deal !!!!!!

it's much better than what I have so have heat from me

sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Anyone with TV but not their BB should just go to their chat function and ask what offers are on their account. I do that all the time and it's amazing how easy it is to get a deal.

Even tho Iv had an email about this when I click on the email and sign in that offer isn't there but loads of others

It's cold because you need their service to get that offer so it's not accessible to everyone.

it is ammunition when you phone them for a deal !!!!!!!

Will they lose all my personal data including bank details like talktalk have done...twice?

Looks a great deal to me. Getting money off the lne rental is rare. Though I would prefer it to be fibre broadband.

They renewed my fibre last year: 12 month half price fibre and 10 month half price line rental.
This year they didn't want to do the same so I migrated.

up urs sky

Is this only for you or for all their customer. Should icall them and ask if we are eligible
Have you got the 7.40 pm contact nowh

Probably cold because lots of people got sky broadband for a total of £6 through an mse deal a month agom

Does anyone know the HUKD rule????
Some of the best deals ive found on here are cold. This is a good deal but it is laughable how a lot of people think sometimes. Ive seen some hot deals on this site which are clearly rubbish deals so a message to the OP is take no notice that your deal has gone cold cos I dont take any notice of the hot/cold thing a lot of the time as it doesnt justify the deal.

Thanks for your comments everyone. I'm not bothered about winning heat scores, was just curious to get people's opinions as to whether this is a good deal for those who got the email.

Are you currently out of contract with Sky BB or have you recently advised them you would like to cancel?

I left Sky BB 10 months ago and switched to Plusnet

ive had sky fibre for 2yrs now and they always do me a good deal at the end of the 12mth contract. I get around 30mbps speed,it never ever slows down and its unlimited. I pay 7.50 a month and im happy to pay that. I dont know how cheap people want it. Maybe if its free or sky give you money then a deal like this would become hot but I have learned a good lesson on here and that is never take any notice of the hot and cold thing and if you want to try and find a good deal then have a look in the cold section of this site, trust me!!
