Sky broadband retention deal for existing customers - £10/month 12m contract

My Sky contact is ending next month, so I rang them to cancel and move to vodafone which is offering £20 a month fibre connection.

Since I am on basic 17mbps speed, they offered me £10 a month on the same connection including line rental for 12 months contract.

Unlike others I don't have any issues with Sky and I am getting 19mbps speed all the time. So I accepted the offer.

Worth checking with them if you are happy with your connection but want to reduce the monthly charge.

My ADSL is also coming to an end, was £9.50 a month with bill credit too, hopefully they can do a similar (or better) deal for me when I call them next month

Thanks for the heads up! Great deal
Sky gives 80 tcb..Plus 50 card. Which makes slightly cheaper than this..But this 100percent deal which is better thank chasing tcb or other things

That's a pretty decent speed you're getting for ADSL and therefore it's both sensible and economical to stick to it.

Unfortunately my nearest cabinet is about 1KM away and much of the cabling used in my area is aluminium, rather than copper. This means on ADSL the best speeds I could realistically achieve was 2.5 MBPS so no option but to go for fibre.
I did my retention deal 15 months ago, and I'm still only being charged £10

Sky Fibre Unlimited£20.00 Broadband Subscription Discounted-£10.00
the discount was for 12 months but its still being discounted.

So have i, and have done for a few years, they just send me a letter every 12 months saying i don't have to do anything they are rolling over the offer.

I’d been with Talktalk for about 15 years and changed to Sky because they gave me some really bad connection speeds. Talktalk just let me leave without a single plea or sweeter to stay. I’m hoping for a deal like yours when it’s time to renegotiate my line rental. I’ve had good deals with tv contract with sky for some years now.
I think what I’m trying to say is, if you’re with Talktalk, take a really good look at what you’re getting from them value wise. Mumble mumble moan moan 😩
Moved out from Sky last week, they haven't offered me such nice deal!

I got that letter also. Used it to leverage my 75% off TV for a second year running too.

Yes, same with me, all they offered me was £5 off Adsl broadband, left for Virgin media.
Got fibre for £10 aswell
I just left sky because they wouldn't offer me anything I said I found cheaper then them and they was like you might as well leave then... Poor customer service from Sky on this occasion..
They doing same deal as last year. £18 a month for 12 months on basic internet

You gotta tell them that you're getting a much better deal elsewhere and gonna recommend it to friends and family to switchover as sky has horrible service and doesn't care about customers. You should get something decent out of them this way.
I rang them last Thursday and the best they would offer me was £22.99 a month for normal broadband and phone line even though I have been with them for other 2 years. Said I would be going elsewhere as had seen better deals but they wouldn't offer anything better, so I said I would be leaving.
Found a plus net deal 19.99 per month with 60 cash back, so rang back to cancel, this time they offered 20 a month so i declined and switched over.
They made a point of saying that they don't offer any good deals anymore because I was on £15 a month before and they said there was no way they could match that. People on here have been offered £10 though which goes to show they just lie.
I was on the exact same deal, also expiring next month. I phoned and was told they cannot go lower than the half price bb, so £18.99 all in. I even said I had a firend (this post) that was offered the better deal and still no go. I went ahead and cancelled.

Just left sky last week after 2 consecutive years, paid £10 pm first year, £15 2nd year and now they started charging £19. They didn't offer any discounts. Moved to plusnet at £12 per month. (All prices above are after cashback).

Same, iv always managed to get fairly good deals with Sky however this year they wouldn’t budge on anything. hey just accepted me leaving
My retention deal was £15 down from £18.99. Damn OP must have better skills in negotiating with the team lol
With profits dwindling and a big Premier League bill, Sky seem to be less inclined to give out offers thesedays
Hmmm. I tried to negotiate with sky. But their agent was offering me a deal that was more about £2 more than what i paid for the previous year. It was really frustrating talking to the agent. She even buttered me up initially telling me she would offer a good deal as I have been with them for the past seven years. I left for BT broadband soon after. Better connection and much cheaper. Plus also free bt sports for 18months!! Anyway I have heard about BTs poor cust service... Might have to move back to Sky lol

Ditto, didn't realize was just out of contract until got nasty £30 shock, was £15 for 12 months for 17mb BB. phoned other day best they could do £18pm 12m free BB. was looking at plus net 12m BB after £50 pn CB and £40 tcb £119.96 or just under £10pm. But also considering Vodafone fibre £20 pm for 18 months
Some guy from sky called an hour ago. Told them exactly why I was ditching them. Said could not offer me better deal.if they don't understand loyalty then how will they retain customers
I've just left sky TV. They didn't want to give me a good deal this year. They didn't offer anything better for the broadband either. Now looking for a good broadband deal and will cancel sky broadband as soon as I find the best deal. It seems like the deals are account specific.
