Sky Broadband Superfast Retention £450 18m

My Fibre Unlimited offer (£20 including line rental) was coming to an end so tried my hand on the online chat to negotiate a price and maybe move to the new packages with boost.

Was able, following a lengthy chat, to haggle £25 a month including boost for free. Anyone managed to get the same/better.

Not sure why this is cold ? This is upto full speed fibre if your line can support it - the equivalent BT speed of average 60megs is £54.99 a month. It’s also £4.50pm cheaper over 18m than Sky give newbies (excluding possible cashback/incentives)

Sky have dropped different Fibre packages - it’s broadband or fibre, 2 choices... 19265-FoqwC.jpg

Am i reading your deal right ? you were paying £20 pm and now your paying £25 pm with free boost ?.It's getting late so it may be me. What does there so called boost do ?.Sounds like they hold off on giving you what your supposed to be paying for and then offer you this boost just to squeeze another £5 from you,and as it is ONLY £5 they think people wont mind paying it.A clever work around BB speeds of upto blah blah...?

How to get Sky Broadband Boost
Got Sky Broadband Essential or Sky Broadband Superfast? Add it here. If not, upgrade your package and add Sky Broadband Boost.

Like your broadband package, it comes with an 18-month contract."
I've always managed to get a solid deal written it comes time for a new contract but this time, there's nothing! I was paying £11 for standard bb and lounge rental, it's somehow due to go up to 33 out of contract and they offered me £20 over the phone and then £21 through fb which was apparently retentions! (the online chat hasn't connected for me). I'm finally going to move elsewhere.
I was paying £10 monthly for sky standard broadband went up by £1 to £11 monthly

My contract expired this month best they offered me through retention is £18 monthly £50 credit to my account which I didn't accept

I moved to now broadband (skys sister company) paying £18 monthly for standard broadband with anytime calls which I don't need plus £90 topcashback total monthly is £10.50

My internet connection with sky was 18mbps with now broadband I'm getting 20mbps

How long before tcb/quidco paid out? There's nothing like that with that amount of cash back at the mo

The same happened with my deal, exact same price before and the same poor offer from sky but without the £50 bill credit, I am also now with now tv working out at £10.50/month after top cash back. Which also includes anytime calls and is only a 12 month contract not the 18 sky wanted me to sign for.

Yeah having to pay an extra £5 was not what I was aiming for. But we going out of contract and moving to £40+. This was best I could haggle to as well as moving to the new products on a new 18 month.

Aim of this “deal” was to see if others are being offered a deeper discount or if this is really the best available.
If cancelling the contract within contract period due to moving house, do sky charger you for the full cost remaining ie whatever months left on the contract?
I pay £18/m inlcuding line rental (12 months) for Sky Broadband Superfast. Usually get around 60Mb/s Contract was coming to an end so on chat I told them I was leaving and they eventually gave me this deal.

Shame its a lot harder to haggle down their TV package. I will try again in Nov when my contract ends.

I think that's what they are wanting people to do. Rather than sell you a cheaper package, you move to their other company and pay them through now tv. That way they can tell their customers that they're getting a good price cos they now add all that other cr#p to their bb - buddy etc. I think I'd rather go with the post office.
How much are you paying per month and how much cash back? The current offer isn't great

Yeh seems like the days off great offers are over. Like you say sky are still getting my money. I was offered boost fo free but its of no use to me.
I am paying £18/month to nowtv cashback was £90 so works out at £10.50. I had started a switch to the post office but canceled it as reviews weren't the best and the now tv deal was cheaper. Never had an issue with my sky broadband in 10 years.
18 months no thanks
I was offered the same deal as you mate, £25 including line rental. Tried a few times hoping I get a generous advisor lol. But they all offered the same thing

I was thinking about Now but can't get the standard bb for some reason. Have you got your cashback, how's the speed's compared to sky?
Got my fibre max renewed for £13.01 all in with line rental, couldnt turn that down

Not received cash back yet, but it does usually take a few months. Speed is no different from sky.

I'd be asking when, they clamped right down on their broadband price reductions a couple of months ago

Was when I was in 31 days cancel period, went on chat sorted all tv, fibre and landline all at same time last week. Job done!!
