First post, please go easy on me!

Went onto chat and after a little haggling managed to get the above mentioned deal which I thought was fairly decent. Works out at £13.50 a month before credit applied, or £12.11 once you factor in the £25 credit applied. This is over a total of 18 months.

Just had an email asking if I wanted sky movies package for £17.50 a month.
I’ll pass.

That's pretty bad! I got a similar E-mail offering it for £9 if that helps?
I may be confused, what is your total monthly cost, it shows as £31.50 less the £25 credit? I was told you can get 50% discounts, used to be 60%, never quite trust sky! sorry.

I see that's a bit confusing now yeah - the bill date at the top shows for which period it is. I won't make a payment in December so that's going to be my first bill total, counting the time in December, January and February (you pay in advance). So two lots of 13.50 plus a bit extra for December. Hope that helps?

called up t'other day for the old man, he's overpaying at the moment for variety package I think it is, with a right old box .. they offered new Customer price with Sky Q ...
£13.50 for HD and Kids, pretty decent, voted hot, because it is over a 50% saving, should be £30, personally I would edit the post to show a saving of £16.50 a month and £25 credit, otherwise some cannot see the value. I pay £10 a month for just the basic package. (originally did a quidco deal and sky installed cost me £15 for a whole year!)

Thanks for the input, I have amended it now and hope it starts to warm up a little bit in here! I still miss the 2016-2017 75% off deal
Iv voted hot as a good deal but unfortunately Sky offer different things to everyone so most people won’t be able to get the deal
Got this last week if it helps someone
32805689-PCgyA.jpgAlso haggled the Sky Q 2tb box for £15 instead of £85

Getting all these cold votes for some reason but I don't think their current discounts are too bad, with the new package plans. Looks like you got a great deal too!
Best they are offering me as a retention is £48 for box sets sport and movies with HD on the 1tb Q box none 4K.

My current plan coming to an end is £35 a month which I was very happy with.

What do people think to £48 a month? This was apparently the ‘back office’ cancellations team.

I can’t get fibre here either, best they would do standard broadband if I added it on (can leave EE as they have just bumped up the price) is £20

Considering my deal, even without the discount it works out £13.50 a month and that's with kids which you may not need. I have an email offering sky cinema for £9 a month which would take it £22.50 - adding sports discounted to get to your price would mean them charging around 22 quid so doesn't seem too great to be honest. Sometimes I've heard it's best to call back during your third/fourth week when it looks more likely you're going for a best price - keep trying though, online chat a few times, seems a bit varied what you will be offered (despite their insistence that they all offer the same)
Thanks for the post OP. Even if it's not the exact combo we would go for, it's really helpful to hear what discounts other people have been offered before going into battle with Sky!

Looks like a brilliant deal, Take much negotiation? How long contract?

Always really helpful to have info like this ahead of a renewal. Thanks to you and poster Meekin84.

I did this over the phone, didn’t take much negotiating. I told him what I wanted and how much I was looking to pay, it’s an 18 month contract too, I’ve also added internet since so £30.50 for everything 🏼

Not necessarily expecting a reply as this post is old, but what was the context? Had your contract ended ie Sky switched off or were you giving notice? I'm in my notice period but the guy on the phone scoffed at this deal saying that I wouldn't be able to renew on the new packages, that I was stuck with the old packages until existing customers transitioned (which wasn't yet). Wondering if it's worth a live chat.

I had been out of contract for a few days, I have always found I get better deals with sky when I let my contract expire and come back through the detentions team, I never accept the first offer unless it suits, I think I was on sky chat daily for the right offer
Did you get Box sets included in the deal. If you did it's a good deal.

You're a star. I let my contract end. Literally the day I was cut off I did a live chat and got your deal (£12 for Entertainment plus HD and Boxsets) plus £25 credit. I was disconnected for less than a day. You do have to wait to have Sky turned off though, as live chats during the notice period didn't work out. Thanks for the tips really appreciate it.
