Sky complete bundle, broadband and line rental for £47.09 - retention deal

Found 15th Jun
Put 30 days notice on sky tv and then went on the winback team live chat.

The deal I agreed was:

60% off tv bundle
50% off Sports HD
50% off line rental
50% off broadband

I pay £32.60 for TV
£9.49 for broadband
£5.00 for broadband

I think this is a decent deal and they also gave me a £50 credit on my account.

link borked.

Good deal - it's the standard "welcome back" though if you cancel and the re-join (even before the 30 days notice expires), rolling contract too if you ask for it so no commitment. Can also push for 75% off depending how brave you feel lol

is this on a 10 or 12 month deal? many I have had is 10 month deals on a 12 month contract

I've got a rolling contract complete package with HD for £31...gave me £50 credit and said I could leave whenever I liked ...only get 70% or more if you actually leave sky and wait for them to contact you after disconnecting

It's a pity you still have to squeal.........to get a good retention deal

12 month deal and the tv isn't in contract. Phone and broadband is a 12 month contract.

75% doesn't happen very often but managed to get it 3 times in recent years. You are right though it's standard retention deal though worryingly Op didn't get themselves the best tv deal as there is no account credo which is easily achievable.

Best to keep an eye on the old 75% off thread in misc for latest deals.

i battled with them today to get this price and lowest they would go was £57.99 so told them just to cancel. will see if they now come back with a better offer. guy had the cheek to tell me i didnt qualify for a better offer as only been with them for 2 years and they only give further discounts to loyal customers who have been with them longer than this !!!

Retention deals are specific to each individual . As people have previously said call their bluff cancel and wait for the welcome back offers.

thanks to mattdriff
got the same deal on live chat.

thanks to mattdriffgot the same deal on live chat.

just so other see this and don't just accept this deal, sky will give this deal and at least £50 account credit as well, every little helps. Just tell them your friend got £100 credit and they will immediately offer you £50.

Did you cancel first?

Yes, I put in cancellation 3 weeks ago. Waited and then contacted to get the same deal as OP with the £50 account credit also.

same here 2 months ago with £60 credit though , i also had no offers or contact during 30 day notice

I was with Sky 15 years , switched to Virgin because they wouldn't offer me a deal , my contract is up now but Sky still won't offer me a deal cheapest I could get today via chat for complete was £80.50, I said no..Virgin will offer me one to stay

Guys, is this standard broadband or fibre you are getting in these retention deals?

I've cancelled today and got the 50% off offer immediately online well wait for 60% and then go online as want to upgrade to sports HD and fibre broadband.. wish me luck. Also been with sky for many years now thinking 10plus so should get good deal I hope

Are people having to call up to confirm the cancellation or can you do just with a few clicks online?

When I try to cancel online I get options to cancel service by service (TV, broadband, phone). Clicking through any one gives asks me why I'm cancelling, then reminds me what I'll be missing, then 10% off offer them a screen advising to call up or web chat with an advisor to confirm cancellation. So effectively forced to speak/chat with someone before I can confirm cancellation.
