This is specifically designed for people who are on unlimited Sky ADSL broadband. No router is included in this offer or No router will be sent out.

here is what happened:
- Do you remember moneysavingexpert Sky unlimited broadband deal for 12 months @ £9.49 per month, deal back in august?

Well Fibre has just been made available in the last 24 hours in the area I live in and I did contact Sky to see what they have on offer.

The offer which I was provided in the 1st attempt was to pay an activation fee of £50something and my bill will increase by £20, hence £20 + "£9.49 which I am currently paying" = £29.49. I immediately rejected it and the chap suggest that maybe the retention team could offer me a better deal.

I agreed and spoke to a helpful chap and he suggested:

- a one off charge of £15 for the fibre activation.
- a credit of £15 to my account. (hence paying me back the cost of activation).
- Sky Fibre unlimited at 38mbps with no cap on usage at £10 per month for 12 months.

((£10 Sky fibre + £9.49 line rental which I am currently paying) x 12 months) + £15 activation fee - £15 credit = £233.88 is the cheapest that I have seen.

Oh as to the Fibre MAX they offered it to me at extra £17.5 per month!

Arent these deal exclusive to you only. I thought they offer new deals all the time or different deals if i were to call them think they would offer me something else.

Either way you got a good deal my contract ends in march so i am on the hunt for a new deal pay 18.99pm for sky broadband
Worst broadband service provider ever. Even if they gave for free you'll be tortured with the buffering.
Your line rental appears to currently be discounted. Did you check with them when it's due to go back up to £18.99? Add the £10 for fibre to that and it's not really any better than the recent PlusNet deal. My target is less than £30 for line rental, fibre and unlimited calling plan.

Not really, as I i did mention it to my brother in law and he contacted Sky today and they also honoured it.

I forgot to mention I was in contract when they offered such a deal to me, infact my current contract was due to be expired in August 2018!

well I did, and they mentioned that the cost of line rental will remain at £9.49 for the duration of the contract = 12months. on the 11th month I will call them and find out what they wanna do with me, keep me or leave SKY.

Cold - sky
Just ended with them. Previous year at £40/mth for unlimited fibre bb, HD TV with boxsets bundle and phone. Now shot up to £70 and best their team could offer was £54 as an existing customer and told that was half price - God help those paying full!
at £19.49 on a 12months contract for 38MBPS connection, is unbeatable. Yes it only comes with PAYG landline, however with too many mobile phones lying around the house with unlimited calls on them, it is a cracking deal.
Thing I'm most shocked about is that you got through to retentions.

its called Charm.
worth logging on to the Sky site to see what it offers. My fibre deal ended just before Black Friday, so while checking prices logged in to Sky mainly to see what my new bill would be. There was a "thinking of leaving?" link which I clicked - a few Q later (what other provider have you seen offers for etc.) and was offered 50% off for 12 months on a 12 month deal - no talking to anyone and better than my previous offer which had just ended. Happy to renew at that and none of the faff of pretending to leave but got a great email offer
I found Sky retentions completely useless when I tried to haggle with them. All they could offer was a £5 discount on my ADSL broadnand. I told them I was leaving for Virgin media and they couldn't care in the slightest in keeping me as a customer. I subsequently moved to Virgin media for £33 a month with fibre 50mb broadband and anytime calls.
