Looks good thanks OP. I've just had the email from BT re price increase next month. What do I need to do to get this deal and cancel my BT one? Thank you. How would it work in terms of deactivation of BT and activation of Sky. Sorry if this is a dumb question! 😝

OK, I'll remember that and see if they are willing to switch me given that they are the same company. I'm on up to 38MB and usually get 28-30MB which isn't a big deal to me but it's the router signal strength that bothers me the most. I have to be standing right next to it to get a full strength signal. I was thinking about buying a good router but apparently Now won't give you the details required to set up a 3rd party router onto their network.

Also another strange thing is that my Echos won't link to it via my phone app. It does work via my Tablet though.

I work for Sky and I can guarantee you that any services provided by Sky and NowTV are identical in the way they are supplied and provisioned to customers. The only difference is their name.

i have the wifi extender plugs.so i have the router downstairs with the Ethernet cable.then upstairs i have another two plugs one Ethernet in the tv and the other in my laptop.therefore getting the best speeds.because they do not guarantee the speeds over wifi.just from the router.these are very cheap and they work so well.

I had the same email from BT. Called them and they offered me Super fast fibre which they said I average 52mb for £23.99 a month. It's a little more than this deal, but more mb's and no messing with cards and cashback.

I agree but how can you leave within 12 months without incurring a big termination fee?

Call BT within 30 days of your email and tell them you are leaving due to price rise they will put you on 30 day notice and you are free to switch to another provider during this time. When you make your order through sky they should handle the switch process for you and simply take over the line

I believe that if I switch to up to 76mb deal my speed won't increase much because I am almost 1 mile away from the exchange. Apparently as soon as you hit 1 mile away, the signal almost instantly dies. Maybe @arczi19 can confirm this.

that is fair enough.and you are correct the nearer you are too the box the better.i am for instance 400 yards.you can still try this deal and they will give you the latest router.also making them small changes with the wifi extenders could help also.and get you some stability

you have to keep trying.took me 4 days on the text service 4 different people.after the first person swearing black and blue there was no offers.anyway in the end i got 10 pounds off my line rental.my fibre max is already discounted.so currently paying 23.99 for fibre max including line rental

I'm not sure what the exact speed would be, but I know ISPs can tell you whats your average expected speed is before you place an order.
yes that is correct.

I would try them again. I switched to another provider and they offered me the 23.99 with no haggling etc. I declined it initially and then accepted when they called me a couple of days later as me and my partner are due to renew mobiles in Oct and save £5 a month with bt.

Really tempted to switch from my £35 per month full house (100mb) to this if they can guarantee at least 60MB download

Is that 30 days from order placement or service activation? Not that it matters to me as I've past both with Now.
I just took a look at this. I ran my details through their online ordering and I can see that they will charge a one-off £9.95 for delivery of the router. However I also noted that there seems to be a one-off £50 Activation Fee to be charged, so that's a bit of a damper really. Has anyone else noted this? This was on the £25 a month offering.
