Chinese New Year starts this Friday, 16 Feb - Could be for anyone really as the scenes are rather nice, the poor fella doing the lion dance gamefully tries to make it as entertaining as a live performance though struggles with no props (there's usually green veg like cabbage, red packets, oranges, and fireworks)

Gong Xi Fa Chai / Gong Hei Fatt Choy / Xin Nian Kuai Ler

Available scenes:

Hóngbāo (Red Envelopes)
A beautiful, tranquil scene of Chinese red envelopes, used for gifts at New Year.

Dragon Fireworks
A stunning scene of fireworks over a traditional Chinese New Year's dragon.

Caishen (should actually read as something like Cai Shen Dao)
A stunning scene of Caishen, the Chinese god of prosperity.
(This is possibly the first time I've ever seen the name written partially rather than in full)

Correction:
-T"he 'dao' bit means he's here, his name is actually just Caishen"
-- Haha! 40 years as a Chinese person and I never knew. I stand corrected.

Chinese Lion Dance - Temple 1
Enjoy watching this traditional Chinese lion dance against a stunning temple backdrop.

Chinese Lion Dance - Red
Watch a spirited Chinese lion dance performance against a powerful red backdrop.

Chinese Lion Dance - Temple 2
Enjoy a traditional Chinese lion dance performance against a stunning temple backdrop.

Sleepy Chinese Lion
A traditional Chinese lion dance comes to an end with a peaceful nap.

Chinese Lion Dance - Gold
Enjoy this spirited Chinese lion dance performance against a golden backdrop.

Resting Chinese Lion
A beautiful, serene scene of a Chinese lion costume with traditional musical accompaniment.

I'm truly a 'banana'..... (then again, my first language is English.)

And there's one song that plays Every year about him too. Groan. At least I won't embarrass myself to my family and friends about his name now!
